Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.
battery have residual power which last few minutes to allow safely switch off, as you used this power, it shut down. this residual reserve is usually between 3% to 5% of capacity.
and do not fiddle with it till you recharge it, reset will not work while there is no power, any other "trickery" will not work either.
now, plug battery to known good charger and charge it for 24hrs, do not switch it on during that time nor disconnect from the charger.
after this it should be starting and working normally, if it does not - it is still under warranty and you should return it to the place of purchase for repair or replacement, even if you do not have receipt. tablet have it's serial number and can be traced in the store to day, and even hour and minute when it was sold...

Try holding the power button down for 10-15 seconds, then release.
Is it possible that perhaps your charger isn't working, and therefor not charging your tablet (and the battery charge is depleted?)
As soon as you connect your iPad to a working charger, it will beep. If you plug in the cable and you don't hear the beep, assume something is wrong. Just find out what, the cable or the charger.
Don't try to charge the iPad with a computer, because the 500 mA a USB connector from a computer can give, is not enough even to start.
But you can use a computer to test the cable, because the iPad should beep and say on the screen not charging.
If there is no beep when connecting to a computer, you have to use another cable. If it beeps, buy a new charger. 5 Volt 2 A. The best an Apple charger.
Pop the back cover off. It's real easy - you can use a credit card or even your fingernails. Carefully prise all around the edges. It'll come off quite easily. Looking from the rear with USB port at the bottom, you'll see the left side if the unit is occupied by a large rectangular battery. At the top right of the battery is a connector with six wires. Gently disconnect the connector from the main board. Leave disconnected for about 30-60 seconds and then plug it back in.
Put the back cover back on, and then plug in the charger.
have you tried turning off tablet with charger plugged in and letting it charge up. You should see a battery symbol come onto the screen with a pulsing level indicating the battery is being charged. hold in power till unit turns off then plug in charger cable into tablet and switch on charger at power point . Do not try and push power switch to power up tablet see if screen indicates charging is occurring. I have experienced this exact problem on a samsung tablet !
Samsung galaxy is a powerful device which require at least a 2A charger to charge it well. computer can only deliver 0.5A and thus is not enough power to charge your tablet. Connect it to the wall AC charger that come with the tablet and you'll be able to charge it just fine

More than likely the power cord/charger is dead or the battery is. Bring
it to a tech store and see if you can test out a new cord/charger and
battery...
