It could be the turntable motor but you need to check for food debris under the 3 point stand that the platter rests on. Take the stand out of the oven and check the wheels etc, Magic Chef Microwave Turntable Motor 3966820810
There is no mention of this in the user manual. You could just allow it to burn off the residue, if you can stand it (that's how self cleaning ovens do it). Or, perhaps you could get the entire model number and go to http://www.repairclinic.com/ to see if they have any information. They generally have complete exploded view diagrams of parts that will show you how it is assembled. I hope this is helpful.
The likely thing to be is that the microwave fan is faulty.the solution is to replace the fan.
Needed instrument:Phillips-head screwdriver.
Instructions on how to replace the fan is detailed given below.
1. Unplug the microwave from the wall outlet to prevent an electrical shock while
working on the microwave oven.
2 .Remove
the screws holding the fan shroud to the top of the microwave oven.
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, turn the screws counterclockwise to
back them out of the panel. Set the screws in a safe place so they will
be available for installing the new fan.
3.Slide
the fan shroud--also referred to as a damper plate--forward, toward the
front of the microwave, to remove it. Set the shroud to the side.
4. Lift the fan assembly out of the microwave. An electrical cable and plug is accessible once the fan assembly is out of the way.
5. Unplug the electrical connector from the fan and fully remove the fan assembly.
6. Set
the new fan assembly close to the top of the microwave to facilitate
plugging the new fan into the microwave's connector. Plug in the fan
assembly.
7. Position the new fan in the same orientation as the old fan's before its removal. Lower the fan assembly into position.
8. Slide the fan shroud in place and install the screws to secure the shroud.
9. Tighten the screws with the Phillips-head screwdriver by turning the clockwise.
10. Plug the microwave oven into the wall outlet and test the new fan installation.
You do not hve 2 attempt that, those surfaces are specialy designed to stand the high heat n humid environment n most paints wont stand that. It is either the paint wil burn or come off.
make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine
To replace the inner part of the latch is actually quite easy. Remove the glass tray from inside, then unplug the unit. Take to a flat surface and stand on edge so that the door will open flat. On the inside is a plastic trim that is just clipped on. Pop this off carefully and you will now see the assembly you need to replace. Note where the spring is anchored to the door before taking it apart. Put a small amount of lubricant on the guide pins of the new catch (petroleum jelly works great).
The vent (also known as grill assembly in GE literature) comes off after removing the two screws at the top of the unit and gently sliding the entire assembly to the left about an inch. This will allow the vent to be cleaned of grease, hair, etc., as well as giving some access to the areas behind the vent.
