How fix the greenlight come on but no video - Sony BRAVIA KDL-V40XBR1 40 in. LCD HDTV

The system is fried, if you have a warranty send it in and they will fix it. If you don't have a warranty you are going to have to buy a new system :\

This is called the YLOD. It happens by the system overheating and the solder holding the cpu and gpu to the motherboard is loosened. The only way to fix this is to void the warranty and take the system apart and reflow the motherboard or send it back to Sony for $150.00.

yes you can fix it on your on.., just remove the battery on your motherboard and put it back

If you have the 3 red lights this is because the GPU and the CPU have heat up you need to stop the heat, you can send it in to do this or you can fix it with a good repair guide

Hey teahupoo , I have seen many "guides" that claim to fix this. But as far as I have seen, there is no quick fix for this. People refer to this problem as the PS3 version of the red ring of death that plagues the Xbox. Call Sony, they may replace it for free! Hope this helps. Good luck.

my interac tv has a solid greenlight after putting in new batteries. I am unable to reprogram the controller. help?
