Unless it is rated for 220-50/110-60, you will need the converter. Besides the 110V US plugs won't plug into the 200V UK outlets.

Testimonial: "Thanks"

How to convert 220 volts to 110 volts for the iPod Touch

The battery of an iPod Touch prepared for use in the United States is designed to be reloaded from the current supplied by a 110-volt electrical system. Power is transmitted to the battery charger with an iPod battery, which are connected via a USB cable and then connected to a 110 volt outlet. To use the power of a 220 volt outlet with an iPod Touch, set the current 220 volts to 110 volts. A conversion adapter voltage, also known as "Step Down Transformer," it is necessary and can be obtained from an electronics store, a hardware store and even some drug stores.

1. Place the 220-110 voltage converter card (aka, "Step Down Transformer") next to a 220 volt outlet. Plug the adapter into the outlet.

2. Connect the end of a USB cable to the USB connector USB iPod charger iPod. Connect the other end of USB cable into your iPod's own socket on the bottom of the iPod Touch.

3. Plug the iPod into the 110 volt outlet in the battery adapter for the iPod Touch.

4. Will my 240v charger work on 110v

Can't say for certain, but there are specific 110V and 220V versions of DCB101.
None are labelled 90-220VAC as would be normal for universal voltage equipment.
If you operate 110V equipment on 220V then you will most likely damage it with overvoltage.
If you operate 220V equipment on 110V then you will most likely damage it in over current or have it simply not work.

It is possible that the charger is universal, just not labelled as such.
Send DeWalt an email.

Solis 365 royal hair vac I was wondering if it was possible to use this product in australia due to the voltage difference and if there is a product made to suit australian voltage or if an adaptor...

There are products called Step Up transformers/Step Down (Voltage Converters) that can be used. We use these For our 220VAC Australian manufactured lasers when we need to run them in a Dr.'s office that only has US 110VAC.

Info from a website:
Electrical voltage in USA is 110 voltwhereas; the voltage in most of the foreign countries is 220V to 240 volt. A voltage converter / transformer, also known as power converter are usedto convert electricity coming out of the wall to match the voltage of yourdevice. These Voltage transformers or converters can be used safely withRefrigerators, Microwaves, Juicers, Blenders, Coffee makers, Power Tools,Stereo Systems, TV's, Video Games, DVDs, Hair dryers, Chargers, computersand other electronics when travelling abroad..

Remember to leave at least a 100-percent margin for power surges/spikewhen buying a transformer. Some items, such as Televisions, computermonitors spike when you turn them on. For these products you need to buy avoltage converter transformer that is at least 3 times the items capacity.Power tools, laser printers and heating appliances like coffee makers, toasters, microwaves, Halogen, Fluorescent bulbs you must leave a marginof 3-4 times.

Voltage transformers are made to convert single phase 110 or 220 volt.American 220 Volt consists of 2 phase of 110 Volt and European 220 Voltconsists of 1 phase of 220 volt.

Volts x Amps = Watts (i.e. 110V x 0.5 AMPS = 55W). Please make sure not torun any appliance with higher wattage then voltage transformer's wattage. This might damage both: your appliance and the transformer!

I hope this helps.

Bought a singer from the state but cannot be used in australia what should i do?

If it is an electronic or computerized machine, you are out of luck. USA has 110 volt 60Hz current, Australia has 220 volt 50Hz. A transformer can change 220 to 110 volts, but it cannot change 60Hz to 50Hz.

I bougth reciprocating saw, model BJR 182Z and circle saw, BSS611Z while I was in the U.S.A.These tools use the 18 volt LXT Lithium-Ion battery BL 1830. I also bought this battery. However I am going to use...

Why can't you buy the 230 volt DC18RA charger in europe (amazon.europe country) and use it. I had the same issue yet i burned out the fuse in the 110 volt DC18RA charger because i plugged it into the wall just using an adaptor. Lesson learned. Therefore, my first solution was that i bought a converter from 220V-to 110 Volt. This showed me that my charger was done. So instead of getting another 110 volt charger sent here to Europe from Canada, I returned the converter and have on order a 230 volt input DC18RA charger from amazon.de which has the same 7.2-18V output. I have been told this will work yet the fear, and I don't know why, is that it will burn out the batteries in a year or so. It is difficult getting specific information from Makita, but I hope it all works out. Best of Luck for you
