Have you had a power surge or power go out when the machine was running-----electronics go coo coo when this happens---it may be resolved by unplugging the dryer for a couple of days---then plug it back in & see if it does it again----another issue if the electronics get wet some how roof leak spilled water/fluid--hose replaced on washer which is usually next to the dryer---also check your owners manual to see if this is an issue do to a malfunction of electronics sending a code to check for an issue--that's all I dream up for now--sorry I couldn't do better

My Electrolux EDV 605clothes dryer is turning but not heating, heating element is ok possible faulty thermistor, dryer heats up when thermistor is unplugged but has an error code of 5 beeps

I think you're absolutely right exhaust sensor is faulty.

The buzzer will give 5 beeps, all program LEDs will flash for 5 seconds and the dryer will continue with the cycle. The warning beeps and flashing LEDs will occur every 30 seconds.
On Timer Drying programs it will run for the time remaining and in Sensor Drying programs it will run for 90 minutes. As the exhaust air temperature can not be sensed the element will be cycled on and off at a preset amount. The cycling time of the element will vary depending on the amount of time remaining.

NOTE: When this fault exists the dryer can still be used but regardless of the Sensor Drying program selected the dryer will use the 90 minute Timer Drying program, Timer Drying programs will use the selected program, and with both types of programs the element will cycle as above. The buzzer will also still be sounding.

If an exhaust sensor fault is detected the buzzer will beep and the Reminder Clean the Filter LED will flash. The LED flashes at different rates depending what is wrong with the sensor -

Fast (4 per second) = open circuit senor, broken wiring or multi pin plug not correctly fitted to the control board.
Slow (2 per second) = Short circuit in sensor or wiring.

The sensor resistance at different temperatures is as shown below.

Temperature (Celsius) Resistence (Ohms)
55 2960
50 3570
45 4330
40 5280
35 6490
30 8030
25 10000
20 12555
15 15880
10 20260
5 26080
0 33870

As you can see this is NTC thermistor with Negative Temperature Coefficient , means if temperature increasing the resistance decreasing.

Lg dle3777w will not dry load completly. Stops drying and load will still damp to slighty wet. Do know what might be the problem?

unplug dryer, remove front paner, at heater element Box check the smaller therma fuse at rear by disconnecting one terminal and using a continuity meter measure the part. if you hear no beep then replace it.

My Kenmore elite HE4 quiet pak 9 electric dryer is working, but it emits a constant series of 3 beeps, and sometimes shuts off before the cycle is complete. I have to unplug it to stop the beeping....

You are getting moisture in the control panel buttons. After a while the panel will not function at all. The light in the dryer tub will still come on when the door is open. When you unplug your machine and it sets for awhile you are allowing the moisture to dry and the machine can reset. Some people use a hair dryer to dry out the control panel for a temporary fix. Eventually, you will have to get it replaced once it stops resetting for you.

Gas dryer turns off early

It sounds like a faulty high limit thermostat. This is a small round, black device mounted on a metal plate and attached to the internal ductwork with two screws. It can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. It should have none. If it has continuity, then it is faulty. I will attach a photo of a thermal fuse and high limit thermostat for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Dryer won't get hot

sounds like your igniter went out. you can test it by locating the igniter, unplugging it and use a volt meter to check the continuity(the setting were it beeps when you touch the pos.and neg.prongs together). If it has current (beeps) going through it than it is good.

Dryer will not dry

could be several things. first check that the globar heats up, that is the ceramic bar atthe end of the gas valve. if that lights it could be either your gas valve coils (likely) or could be the sensor on the chimney (unlikely) could also be bad thermostats, easily checked. after removing power from dryer, using a meter check for continuity thru the thermostats, if continuity is unbroken thermostat is good

Beeping dryer

You should open the service panel and to find out where does the "beeping" unit located and to remove one of the wires connected to it (the unplugged wire should be insulated). Good luck!
