A standard 3300 hp I seen get up to 40 watts peak,
normally I would turn the audio pot up all the way never snip anything and deadkey down to 2 watts. Than adjust for forward swing, I also never run a pwr mic. Good luck

Are you sure that you're on the AM mode? It sounds more like you're on LSB or USB. If you are on AM, the problem may be the power control (VR6) inside the radio.

Has anything changed with your antenna or your power supply ? The only real way to get an accurate reading is to check it with a dummy load and form a base line from there.Good Luck

The best way to set it is to get you a radio check, go to channel 19 and ask someone about three to five miles away to give you a radio check, start with your modulation all the way open and go from there.....hope this was helpful...
