Open the Downloads app, from the list you can select and delete files using the trash can icon.

It depends on your operating system. For instance, if you have an Android device, downloads are stored in the file system. Using an app like File Explorer, you navigate to the file folder called "Downloads" and press and hold on the file you want to delete. A menu pops up and you select Delete.

Download ES file explorer. It is easyer to use. Similar to windows on computer. Than just search for "dovnload" file.

Are the apps you're trying to delete ones you downloaded? Some apps were on your iPad when you bought it and those can't be deleted. Only those apps that you downloaded can be deleted from your home screens.

Usually the best way is to download a file manager application from your tablet's app store, navigate to the download directory inside that file manager application and use the application's delete command to delete unwanted files.

most likely go to settings and then look for applications go into this and find applicatiomn there should be a remove option.

I assume you are in the downloads app if so just touch and hold for short while it should then select the file and the delete button should (trash can) appear at the top of the screen.

Install a file browser (I use ES File Explorer) and then just open the Download folder. Long press a file to select it, then press Delete button which appears bottom of screen

Depending on your iOS version, you will/will not have the option to delete it. Just let it finish downloading and then remove it. If it is not downloading, try restarting your device. Alternately, you could try a computer sync and see if it changes anything.
