After setting in the garage for 3 mo. the left rear wheel was locked. Had a little free play. The brake was not froze. Hit it on the end of the hub with a 2 lb. hammer and it broke free. No more problems.

just wanted to stop to offer some tips. I just put in new brakes on last night. I too had the same problem. The brakes were fine, but I replaced them anyway. The drum seem fine, and my emergency cable was a bit loose too. What you can try is hiting the ebrake while going in reverse or in drive. It may help. If not, adjust the ebrake cable will be needed, it not too hard to do. It should be by the rear tires towards the center.

Providing you didn't go the wrong way with the adjuster screw, you should be able to get a couple of screwdrivers in between the drum and the shoe from the back. Just pry it out a little at a time and keep working your way around. The drum could also be rusted on to the axle hub face. Give it a crack with a hammer and see if it moves around the studs at all. Some wd40 or other lube may help. Spray it in around the wheel studs.

put car in reverse and very gently try to back up,it is possible the the brakes have locked on (rusty )low miles will cause brakes rust very quickly.a few stop/starts will clear them.
