On some touch screen device, the tough part of the screen won't work when it has a crack. So it ill be difficult to unlock the screen as long as it has a crack. Ask yourself if it is worth repairing the screen, when you know what a repair shop asks for the repair and what a new device costs.

My screen is cracked and it has stop working what can I do to get it to work again

If your screen is physically cracked you will need to have the screen replaced. This is not an easy task to do yourself. If you cannot do it yourself you will either have to pay to have it repaired, or have the whole unit replaced all together.
