What ever is popping is locking up the CPU circuit. Call a Factory Authorized Service Center Have figure out what is popping, get an estimate first. Good Luck, big IRISH.
The problem can be caused by a bad sustain board (Ysus Zsus) , the popping sound is often caused by a capacitor blowing up. The TV must be taken apart and tested before eventually replacing sustain boards.
hello .this does sound like bad solder joints .all printed circuit boards do this after a while due to heating and cooling .is not advisable to try to repair yourself .possible electric shock and spiking .will do a lot of damage .take to a shop to have repaired
