I have a Sony KDL-32BX300 showing vertical lines. Is this repairable?

When I turn the unit on, the intro screen looks fine then gradually stripes form down the screen that are associated with bright images. For example, wherever there is white lettering on the screen a bright vertical stripe forms the same width as the lettering. There is 1/4" at the top of the screen that is not affected. I'm told that when it is left on for 2 hours, the stripes disappear. I have obtained the Sony Service Training Manual (http://elektrotanya.com/sony_ctv-67_az1fk_chassis_training_manual.pdf/download.html) and the full Service Manual (http://www.archivotecnicosaurios.com/descargas/LCD_y_Plasma/9619_Sony_KDL-22BX300_KDL-32BX300_Chassis_AZ1-FK_Televisor_LCD_Manual_de_servicio.pdf). According to the trouble shooting guides, the issue is a Gate Driver Failure. Unfortunately none of the manuals say what IC contains the Gate Driver. Does anyone know the answer to this? Sony tech support refused to answer my questions because they consider the manuals to be classified for internal use only. The service manual that I obtained does not contain any information for the TCON board. Does the LAXC021T0B-Q1 chip contain the Gate Driver circuit? What parts are needed to fix this? And is it worth fixing?

Found answer to issue... (found by viewing a repair manual for a different model - the repair manual for this model did not have the information) The Gate Drivers are located and embedded on the ribbon cables connecting from the T-Con board to the display panel. They are adhered to the panel and circuit board. They can not be replaced. I'm not happy about this because Sony could have told me this over the phone instead of wasting my time (and attempting to waste my money by suggesting that I purchase the repair manual from a 3rd party).

Type in the brand name of your TV at the search box at the top right of the display window. {here it is "Sony". It will make search easy, by collecting all the posts related to Sony

I found the service training manual on this site:http://elektrotanya.com/sony_ctv-67_az1f... It looks like the above link was a portion from the training manual. It looks like it may be a failed gate driver. In the photo I posted there is a very small portion at the top of the screen that appears unaffected.

I am getting a blue line, vertical, down the right hand side of the screen. It will fade in and go away. Don't tell me my LCD is going out. I've only had it for a year.

Hope you are still in warranty, a single colored line in an LCD or Plasma is usually a screen fault, the only other possibility would be the LCD control board, however it usually generate large stripes or bad image with half the screen, a single line, 99% is a bad screen. Call Sony, screen replacements are not economical to repair.
