Need the instructions for setting, and what buttons are for

Your CASIO has four push button and one for winding button. the first button has mark of LIGHT , the below button is MODE ,,upper right START/STOP,,, lower is LAP/RESET. the center button is what they called it a CROWN to set crown is just pull it and you can set the hour and minute. the LIGHT button is the set button also, just press it for 15 seconds if dial flashes, then go to MODE button and choose what going to set, the START/STOP -- LAP/RESET is the scroll button you going up and down the number or on /off ,some model of Casio Edifice, the set is in the MODE button just press it long and if flashes it ok. and follow procedure what i said before. setting cannot damage the watch. Here's how you set the 40/6623 M175 for anything. I figured it all out with help from here :). Okay so want to set the alarm? Press MODE once. Then hold it. And use the DATE and ALARM buttons to set the alarm. Press MODE twice and you're done. To set time do the step before this and press MODE once. Use the DATE and ALARM button to set the time. As for the 24 hr deal what you do is hold ALARM and press MODE or hold MODE and press DATE. To turn alarm on/off hold ALARM button and then press the DATE button. To set the date go to time set mode and keep cycling between the hours and mins until you get to the date :). That's all you gotta do :D. I know many of you need the instructions so here it is!!

I searched for instructions for you watch but was unable to fins them. If you follow the instructions below, you may (with some experimenting) be able to set your watch.

There should be a button marked "mode". Pressing this button cycles the display through the various setting options that are available on the watch.

The functions are likely to be abbreviated, so you may have to guess what each one means.

When you have reached the time setting mode (TS perhaps?) use one of the other buttons to advance or ****** to time etc.

To set the digital time and date on your Timex, please follow the steps below.

Timex Digital Watch

1. Press and hold the "Set" button for 2 seconds. The "Set" button is on the lower right side.

2. Press the "Date Advance" button on the upper right side. This will reset the seconds.

3. Press the "Change Mode" button on the lower left to set the hour. The hour will flash. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct hour is displayed.

4. Press the "Change Mode" button again to set the correct 10s unit (first digit 1 or 0) for the minutes. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct first digit of the minutes is displayed. Repeat this step to set the second digit of the minutes.

5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 of this section to set the year, month, date and day and whether to use 12- or 24-hour time for your watch.

6. When finished, press the "Set" button (on the lower right) to return to the current time view and lock in your settings.

I just bought a Sportline 241 last week. The instructions are as follows. Note that there are no instructions for setting the 12/24 hour time option. Mine is in 24 hour mode (which is what I wanted), but I do not recall if it arrived that way or if I stumbled onto this mode when setting the time/date or alarm functions.

TO SET TIME AND CALENDAR:
From normal time display, press MODE button three times to enter Set Time/Date Mode. Seconds is automatically selected.

Alarm will sound when indicator shows in upper right corner.
Release SPLIT/RESET button to return to normal time display.

TO ARM/DISARM HOURLY CHIME SOUND:
From normal time display, press and hold SPLIT/RESET button, then repeatedly press MODE button to arm/disarm hourly chime sound.
Chime will sound when dashes appear along top of display.
Release SPLIT/RESET button to return to normal time display.


STOPWATCH OPERATION - GENERAL:
From normal time display, press MODE button once to reach stopwatch timer display.
After use of any stopwatch feature, press MODE button once to return to normal time display.

START-STOP (TIME-IN/TIME-OUT) TIMING:
With stopwatch timer on display, repeatedly press START/STOP SET button to start or stop the timer. When timer is stopped, press SPLIT/RESET button to reset timer to 0.

SPLIT TIMING:
With stopwatch timer on display, start the timer with START/STOP SET button. Repeatedly press SPLIT/RESET button to split or release the timer. Press START/STOP SET button to stop the timer. Press SPLIT/RESET button to reset timer to 0.

1-2 FAST FINISH:
With stopwatch timer on display, start the timer with START/STOP SET button.
Press SPLIT/RESET button for STOP #1.
Press START/STOP SET button for STOP #2. The stop time for #1 will now be shown.
Press SPLIT/RESET button. The stop time for #2 will now be shown.
Press SPLIT/RESET button to reset the timer to 0.

Can't understand instructions

hold right side buttons . time will flash set using top button, then use lower button to move through each aspect of menu. You use the top button to make changes then bottom to go to next option. Lower left button to exit
