1. This error occurs due to an abnormal increase in temperature of the RH printhead.
2. Follow the forthcoming guidelines to fix the issue. Power off the device.
3. Insert the power cord to the appropriate ends and turn the printer on.
4. If the problem persists, replace the print head.
You can purchase a new printhead from the manufacturer's store. 5. If the issue continues, update the firmware of your Canon printer.
6. Check the image quality and reinsert the printhead of the printer.
It's time to clean the printhead. Use the procedure from the printer status monitor. Try cleaning several times but beware it will drain some extra ink from the cartridges. If the cleaning process will not increase the quality of print, probably you will need to replace the printhead. Before replacing printhead, remove all the cartridges and verify if all four gaskets (seals) are present on the inner bottom of the printhead. Also remove printhead, clean contacts both on the back of printhead and carriage with isopropyl alcohol. Put back printhead and cartridges and let the printer do its ink system initialization process. Then try to print your labels again. If all those attempts fails, replace printhead.
Take isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth and clean the printehead of the printer. The printhead is located on the top lid of the printer and has a green and black appearance. Take clean isopropyl moistened cloth and swipe gently across left to right the black portion of the printhead. There may be residue on the printhead obstructing the heat transfer of ribbon to card which cleaning fix.
Worst case the printhead has one or more bad elements (pixels). The printhead is an expensive repair (Parts and Labor) so you may examine your options on repair or trade-in on purchase of a new printer.
That is normal. Secondary heat is not needed unless it is very cold outside. If the heat pump can't keep the house warm enough and the temps start to drop, the secondary heat kicks in. 2 degrees is normal.
There are two plastic head pressure knobs on top of the printhead with a circular arrow. Turn with flat head screwdriver counterclockwise to increase pressure. Try to keep both close to the same position.
if the lines are from top to bottom, some dots in the print head are broken. Replace.
If the lines are from left to right, check if the ribbon is loaded correctly, if yes, proceed to clean the printhead, and every part that are in contact with ribbon.
This problem is not a heat problem, set the temperature to 0, in order to save printhead.
How often do you blow out your print heads? You should get several years from a printer. If disc are routinely inserted off the pins on the tray the disc will be elevated and will increase the chance of blowing out the head.
It is also important to keep the printhead clean. A dirty head will build up more heat and can cause a pixel in the head to burn out.
