While it's good that you cleaned the coils and that needs to happen periodically to maintain efficiency in the operation of your fridge, it appears not to have fixed your problem. It could be that you have developed a leak in the sealed system, and have lost refrigerant causing it not to cool. Or you may have a problem with the defrost system. All frost-free refrigerator-freezers have a thing in the system called a Defrost Timer. The thing is a little clock of sorts that tracks accumulated running time. Every 8 hours of run time the thing cycles through a defrost cycle. The defrost cycle is necessitated by the humidity that forms ice crystals on the freezing coils, if the frost is not eradicated it can build up to the point where no air flows over the coils to chill the inside of the box. (it may keep the freezer cold but no air goes to the fridge part. If completely solid neither cools) Most timers are located on the front of the machine, behind that removable grille under the door. The timer has a round hollow shaft through it, and can be turned with a screwdriver. If the compressor is running, give the shaft a slow twist until a click is heard. The compressor will stop. Give the fridge an hour to defrost the coils, and check it to see if it took off running. If an hour has passed and the fridge hasn't restarted, advance the timer again to start. Sometimes the nudge will make the timer run for a while. If this is the case, the unit will chill, and buy you some time to get it fixed. If the timer does not run, you can repeat the process daily until you get a replacement timer. If we're on the mark here, the pan underneath may not hold all the water, and a small flood will result. If the coils are frozen over and it's not the timer, there may be a failure of the thermodisk or the heater coils in the evaporator. That repair is more involved.

Water freezing in bottom of freezer. freezer is 10 years old.

The defrost drain outlet is stopped up and freezing over.
Remove the bottom basket.
Turn the freezer off.
Look in the center of the freezer just below the cooling coils in the bottom of the freezer.
You will see a water drain trough.
It will be full of ice.
Use a hair dryer to thaw the ice and remove it.
The drain will become exposed.
It must be thawed also,so that you can pour water through it and the water goes all the way to the drain pan underneath.

Check fan in freezer. Put your ear inside and listen and feel vents for air circulation

Also you might need a hardstart relay installed on compressor.
Check with local parts dealer for the part (ERP410) Instructions are on the kit. Easier than you think to install.

Both the refrigerator (upper)and freezer (bottom) dont stay as cold as they used to. Feezer doesnt maintain freezing temps

When the refrigerator cools but isn't as cool as it should be, I would suspect that the refrigerant coils underneath the unit are dirty.

A fan in the rear of the compartment underneath the refrigerator draws room air across these coils and removes heat from them. If the coils are dirty, the heat transfer is not efficient. This results in the coils remaining hotter than they should. This cuts down on the efficiency of the refrigerator.

Also check to make sure this fan runs whenever the compressor runs.

Freezer wont go below 30 fridge at 40 to 45

hi ttmo

Can you give more info on the make and model of this freezer and also the type of gas it uses....

If I can take a wild swing at it .... i would think that your freezer has one of a few problems...

1- the gas in your unit might be to little and thus the freezing up of the coils....
2- you might have some impurity's(particle's) in your system and these are partly blocking up your expansion valve.. (The item unknown to you ) also resulting in ice on coils..
3- the evaporator fins(warm side) on the freezer might be blocked thus restricting airflow and the gas can then not cool effectively...

Please do give more info for a more accurate assessment.. include photo's of back of unit if possible..
