As there is no new firmware available for your television and the TV has reach "some sort" EOL, i just suggest you to by a new TV. This model is mostly analog (in recieving signals) and the TXT tv reciever is an old type. The TV is from 08 or maybe 09. The second choice is to by a box which convert the digital signal to analog (or visa versa) and use the hdmi port1. This should remove your problem as the box is taking over your txt tv. In DK we have no more analog channels. As i am in no knowledge regarding your homeland i can ofcourse be wrong hence the tv signals.

The web began to take over some of the functions of teletext from the late 1990s, and many broadcasters have ceased broadcast of teletext-CNN in 2006 and the BBC in 2012. The decline of teletext has been hastened by the introduction of digital television, though an aspect of teletext continues in closed caption .

Took my q7 to a garage to have a drop down DVD fitted, now my radio channels keep dropping out its like the aerial is only half working and the signal is really weak. I have checked the obvious things like...

Are you sure they plugged the antenna back in to the radio head unit? You need to remove the radio, check the back, there is a thick black cable (not fiber optic) that plugs into the back. Be sure it's in securely.

I cant get free view to work on the logik tv how cani get it to work it keeps saying no sigbal would a indoor aerial work or what do i need thanks for ur time!

0463b152-37bc-4ebb-bb92-c047a902bf0c.jpgDigital TV's need good aerials or you might finish up with some stations or none at all. Indoor aerials will only work if you live in an area that has strong signals from the transmitter. You can ask your neighbours if you need a proper aerial or not.
Ideally the above type of aerial is best.

I need a user manual for a Techwood LVD2263D flatscreen tv. I cannot install & re-tune to view TV channels

~

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service and Installation Instructions as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Freeview channels are not available. The menu says some do not exist;others cannot be accessed because of "weak or no signal". Currently, Channel Five is unavailable.How can we reach these...

There are two things to check
1. Not all channels are available yet in all areas, and its changing all the time
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/
the above site is full of information to help you
2. Is your tv aerial good enough, go to page 284 on teletext on BBC1 BBC2 ITV1 and Channel 4 and run a test that will tell you if your aerial is able to receive digital channels ok

Have somehow lost all our digital channels & when I try to rescan them it still doesn't work

Sounds like an Aerial fault. Obviously, the first thing you should do is check the the aerial connection to the TV.

Simple test for the aerial is to connect another television to the aerial connection for the faulty TV. If the second TV is OK, it's a faulty TV. If neither work, it's an aerial or aerial cable fault. If you don't have a spare to test with, can someone loan you one for a short time?

If neither work, check the aerial itself? Has it moved in the wind? Is it still pointing the right way (towards your transmitter). Has an element (one of the metal fins) broken off?

Try this and post back.

My tv auomatic off after 1 mi

1]...Please check that the sleep timer function is not set;

2]...Some tv's have a count-down timer & switch off if there is no signal input, either from the tv aerial, or av input;

Please check that the aerial is plugged in to the correct socket on the rear of the tv; test the aerial in another tv, to make sure it is working ok.

3]...It could be a problem with the remote/teletext panel?

for example, switching unexpectedly to standby, or changing channels unexpectedly?

4]...It could be a power supply fault;

for example, switched mode power supplies (SMPS) can cause problems; this could also cause the set to switch to standby mode.

PLEASE NOTE:

If the unit still switches off after 1 minute, even after checking the tv aerial is functioning properly, & is connected to the tv unit aerial socket ok, & the source is set to the tv aerial, then this could be indicative of an internal fault.

TV sets contain extremely high & very dangerous voltages, even after the tv has been unplugged from the ac power socket, on the wall, which could kill you!

FOR THIS REASON, & FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE DO NOT attempt to open or repair the tv unit yourself, unless qualified to do so - please take it to the tv repair shop;
only qualified tv engineers should attempt to carry out tv repairs.

I hope this information was helpful for you.

Thanks,

Steve.

I have a sony tv. It only has sound on some chanels. I have checked the cable connection with another tv;it is ok. What should I look for

Hi It sounds like a signal problem, I'm assuming its Freeview channels you are dropping, I have had the same problem on some of my TV's especially since the re-tuning channel 5 fiasco. Have you tried Re-tuning the DVB-tuner from the freeview menu, then settings or set-up or installation, then choosing the First Time Install option as it will wipe all previous channels. If you have a portable you can try it on the same aerial see if you have the same problem with that, then if it is the signal, buy a booster and put that on the RF input, which is what I did with the same problem. I am in a poor signal area and have had to have my aerial raised to get even an average signal.
