SOURCE: Single HDMI Input. Need to connect several HDMI components

Number 1 would be to connect the 3 Devices to a Receiver with 3 HDMI Inputs, So this way you get the HDMI Audio as well. 3 in and 1 out to the TV as you know. The other way would be to get a Key Digital HDMI 3 to 1 Switcher. I have used these a lot in the field on installs and they work Great. They also have 4 to 1 if you think you might need more. No programming of the piece you just plug in and setup your TV in the HDMI Menu and your other Devices. If they don't sync AUTO! The Receiver would be Best I feel, Some let you assign 2 different Video and Audio sources at once. Such as Video from a Game and Audio from a CD. Hope this helps out!

SOURCE: I have a 1080 P

Blue screen signals the fact that the tv doesn't receives the signal. The HDMI connector itself is faulty. Open the back of the tv and look at the solderings for the HDMI pins - they are loose or broken.

How should I connect a Sony Wega KF-50WE620 to an XBox360 ?

Since the TV accepts HD signals only via DVI and component inputs, the only logical way is to use the "Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable" as show in the link below:

How to hook up your Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 to TV

The TV will not accept a VGA input. A cable converting HDMI to DVI would also require that you break out the L + R audio channels, too. The one I mentioned above does this all for you with no degradation in video signals.

Can i get hd channels without an hdmi input. The TV is an HDTV

Sounds fishy to me----almost every provider uses a box that has either HDMI or Component outputs for HD--your set should if HD ready have a Component input for that also--if it only has the HDMI for that you may be out of luck. Check the owner manual to see if one of the Component inputs is HD or not.

I turn on the Tv the sound comes on & the picture is blank Cablevision was here & said it's a problem in the set

He is probably not an expert (just kidding, of course he's not..) First, try connecting the Cablevision Box to another TV (if you don't have another HD TV, use the yellow/white/red Composite connection.) If there is still no picture, the box is no good. If there is, then try a different output from the Box or other inputs on the TV. Are you using HDMI (HD connection) out of your Box? Is the TV 720p or 1080p? Set the Box up (from the menu) according to the specs of your TV. Hope I helped.

I just purchased a Sherwood RD 6513 reciever, I'm trying to connect a hd cable box (motorola dch 3200), dvd player (sony dvp ns710h) and a rca hd tv (l32hd41). I connected hdmi cords from both components...

Hi! I will be more than glad to assist you. I f you are going to hook up your cable box - motorola to the sherwood receiver, connect an hdmi cable to the back of the motorola cable box, there is only 1 hdmi output there, then connect the other end to the sherwood receiver on the hdmi input, then connect another hdmi cable to the hdmi output and the other end goes to your rca hd tv.

for the sony dvp, you have only one hdmi out, connect an hdmi cable to the back of the sony dvp if u have another spare. connect it to the hdmi input of the sherwood receiver. there is only 1 hdmi output at the sherwood, so u need to use a component cable to be connected at the back of the sherwood receiver component output then the other end goes to the component input of the hd tv.

if you dont have anymore hdmi cable to hook up your sony dvp, u can use component cable, the connection will goes like this, connect a component cable on the output of the sony dvp and the other end goes to the sherwood component input then connect another component cable to the component output of the sherwood and the other end goes to the rca hd tv on the component input.

I hope this will solve your concern, if you have any question, u can get in touch..

Powersurge made my HD setting revert to low def.

Your TV plays High Def material through either Input 4 (uses component cables R,G,B) or through Input 5 (Uses DVI cable).
Today most equipment uses HDMI cable for High Def or it may have a component (RGB) output that you can use. The DVI hookup is best, so you need a HDMI to DVI cable or Component Cables (Red, Green, Blue). You need some source that OUTPUTS High def (ex. 1080i) either through HDMI or component cable. You need to either connect the component cable(R,G,B) from the source to the Input 4 on the TV or connect the HDMI to DVI cable from the source to the Input 5.
You need to set the AV source on the TV to AV5 (if you are using the DVI input) or AV4 (if you are using component cables).
If you want to play Highdef source like Blue Ray then you can just connect the output of the blu ray player to your Tv using either the HDMI to DVI cable or component cable (Red, Green, Blue) and set the TV input to AV5 (for HDMI/DVI) or AV4 (for component).
But if you are trying to get Free High Def from an antenna then you will need to have a component that can OUTPUT high def. The $40 converter boxes don't do this - they simply convert the Digital signal to Analog (non high def). What you need is a High Def TUNER that OUTPUTS High Def. I was looking for one for this same reason and ordered the centronics ZAT 502 HD. But it cost about $80. Then I saw that Tivo had an upgrade deal where I could upgrade my existing Series 2 Tivo to Tivo HD for $99. It has a High Def Tuner in it. So I cancelled my order with Centronics and got the Tivo. In any case if you want Over the air HD you will need a High Def Tuner that will OUTPUT 1080.

How to get a high definition Picture??

Hi, first of all you need a high definition source. I'm not sure if your cable box is HD but lets take it as an example. The component leads which you are using isn't 'true' HD video quality, what you need is a hdmi cable from your source to your TV.

Your cable box maybe HD with a HDMI output, if it is then you need the lead to come out of the cable box into your tv's HDMI input using a HDMI lead. Then you switch your TV's source to the HDMI input and it then should be producing a HD quality picture, but to truly get the full HD experience you may want to subscripe to a HD channel or purchase a blueray player becasue most cable TV channels are upscaled to HD and the definition is not as good as on a blue ray disc or a true HD channel.

So in conclusion the cable and input you are using is not designed for HD input. I believe your TV is HD, check for HDMI inputs or DVI inputs.

Hope this explains your problem

I have Time Warner cable. I just bought a new Sony LCD HD tv and the sound and the video are out of sync on some channels - HD and non HD I am using a HDMI cable. Any solutions that you know of?

Yes there is a simple solution. First, for some reason., Time Warner cable boxes have SERIOUS HDMI issues, including no pic, intermittent pic and sound and the one that you are having. The easy fix is to hook the TV to the cable box using the component connections instead of the HDMI. Normally I would suggest getting the cable box replaced, but I have seen customers exchange cable boxes 3 or 4 times and still have the problem or have a new problem. Use the component connections and be sure to let me know if this works. If it does, be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!
