DWSR483EAWW GE Dryer doesn't turn off when set to "Optimum Dry"

Does the timer advance to the end or does it stop advancing in the middle of the cycle?
If the unit does advance to the end on timed but it won't advance on auto, that means your cycling thermostat isn't triggering. First, make sure your vent is cleaned and the best way to do that is just run a cycle without the vent hose connected to the back of the dryer to see if things change. If your dryer still won't dry properly, then the cycling thermostat will need to be replaced because it's not cycling properly.

Try it on the timed cycle. If it doesn't advance, then you have a bad timer and the timer will need to be replaced.

The cycling thermostat is mounted to the front of the blower wheel housing.

Here is the timer if it is found bad.

Brand new Matytag MDB7749AWB Dishwasher does not work correctly. As soon as the power was turned on, all three cycle indicator lights ('Wash', 'Dry', and 'Clean') came on and always...

Try putting the unit into a test mode. This my clear your issues otherwise call for service.

One of two ways to do this.
In standby (no lights) Press the combination of buttons:
hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash
All lights will come on and the washer will run a test cycle anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
If that button comb doesn't work use:
heated dry > sanitize > heated dry > sanitize > heated dry

Electric Dryer Shuts Off

During the auto-drying cycle, the moisture sensor could be the problem.

If it also shuts off prematurely during the timed cycle, the operating thermostat could be turning the heaters off before the machine reaches operating temperature. Another possibility is that the operating thermostat does not turn off the heaters at all. When the machine heats up, it gets too hot and the high limit thermostat turns the dryer off.

Amana model LGA30AW automatic setting doesn't shut the dryer off

You can make adjustments to your Automatic Cycles by adjusting the Factory Dryness Level:
Changing the Automatic Cycle settings to increase or decrease drying time:
If all your loads on all Automatic Cycles are consistently less dry or more dry than you would like, you may change the default settings to increase or decrease the default dryness
level.

Your automatic drying settings can be adjusted to adapt to different installations, environmental conditions, or personal preference. This change is retained and will affect all of your
Automatic Cycles, not just the current cycle/load. There are 5 drying settings, which are displayed using the time display:
0 Much wetter clothes, 30% less drying time.
1 Slightly wetter clothes, 15% less drying time.
2 Factory preset dryness level.
3 Slightly drier clothes, 15% more drying time.
4 Much drier clothes, 30% more drying time.
TO CHANGE THE DRYING SETTINGS: NOTE: The settings cannot be changed while the dryer is running or paused. The dryer must be in standby mode (power is off) to adjust the default settings.
  1. Before starting a cycle, touch and hold DRYNESS for 6 seconds.
  2. Touch DRYNESS to select the dryness level shown in the time display: 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
  3. Touch START/PAUSE to save the new dryness level setting.

GE 5 cycle automatic heavy duty dryer

Turn off the electricity to the dryer.Try spraying the belt with automotive belt dressing inside that goes around the bucket.. If that does not work it is probably the bushing at the back of the dryer. you will have to remove the bucket to grease the bushing.if it is still good. judging by your details it seems good. But it could be dry.Needs lubrication.
