There are several ways to watch Netflix on a tv. If it is capable, you can download the Netflix application directly to the tv. Another way is to connect some type of streaming input device like a Roku or Google Chromecast or Apple TV. Then you would stream Netflix from that device to the TV.
1: a netflix account with active subscription and 2: a working internet provider with a WiFi connection or LAN cable plugged in the back of the tv (if its a smart tv if not a media capable pc is needed or BluRay player)
In order to get Netflix on your TV you need a smart TV that connects to the internet. If you have one of those you may have to download the latest software release from the manufacturer to see netflix. If it still does show up then I recommend something like an amazon firestick.

Netflix is an online streaming service....this means as long as you have the internet and a smart box or tv or computer laptop or tablet you can use it to watch netflix amazon hulu etc.
it is better to use a cable (Ethernet ) from router to tv as opposed to wifi.without internet no netflix.
