SOURCE: Panasonic Home Theater SC-PT760

This is not a problem, this means that your system is working. Polar Express was recorded in Surround Sound with separate tracks for each speaker channel. In most movies you will find that the rear speakers will only play certain sound effects so that it appears they are coming from behind you (gun shot, train, fireworks). Most of the diaglouge will come through the center channel and music/effects through the front left and right, with bass coming from the subwoofer.

Now, you can still hear more from the rear speakers if you like this enveloping effect, or if you like your music coming from all directions. There are Sound Effects options to have the front and back speakers always playing the front track, there is Dolby Pro Logic II that turns stereo sounds (like many TV shows) automatically into 5.1 Surround Sound, and you can also individually change the volume of each speaker.

These are all explained on page 29 of your owner's manual under Sound Options. If you need specific button to button help, let me kow.

SOURCE: No Sound In Home Theater with Dish HDTV DVR Dual Mode Remote Connection

I have a high definition Polaroid tv which I bought in 2007. I have it connected to Dish tv. It worked fine at first. Now when I use the Dish tv remote, the television won't power up. The red light, which appears when the television is off turns blue when I attempt to turn the tv on, but the screen stays black. Why won't the television come on anymore?

SOURCE: Apple TV and Bose Home Theater

I had the same problem.
I could not get HDMI to HDMI to work.

i fixed it (work around), by connecting ATV HDMI to DVD HDMI port on V30, i then connect L&R to AUX.  I set the Bose remote for controlling ATV to AUX.
so to use ATV with Bose remote i know press DVD, this gives me the correct display but not audio, i then press AUX and this gives me ATV control and audio.

interesting, when i first set this up (trial and error), it didn't work.  I was doing some cable management clean up, when i got a fright and the thing started working...but i have a ghost in my house so that is probably a more plausible reason why its working now.
it feels like this product is only 90% finished

SOURCE: How to extend speaker cables of Philips MX6050D DVD Home Theater

Go down to your local RadioShack or any place that sells wire of any sorts (heck, even Walmart might carry it now) and ask them for speaker wire. I'm not sure what the impedance of this particular model is, but you should be able to find it printed on the back of the speakers, or in your user's manual. This guide will help you to identify what size speaker wires you need, that way when you go in looking for speaker wire, you'll at least sound like you know what you're doing.

I have a WahlDorf sound system no instructions...its WD310HT Home Theater.its a subwoffer an 5 speakers how to connect to TV or DVD?

there is no info for a 310,but,there is for a 305,you need to make some cables for it,you need some rca cables with one end cut off,the rca plugs into the tv audio output, the two wires from each one,go into the push connectors, treat the outside wire as neg(black) and inside wire is always pos(red),,the top 2 push posts on the left are for the left audio from your tv,the 2 posts on the right are for the right tv audio, there are 4 more connectors for another device, like a dvd etc, push connectors operate by pushing in on them and pushing the bare wire into the little hole and releasing,
25715906-ghuqylfbvqx2ddmcce1obb43-5-0.jpg this is the only pic available, the 4 push connectors on the right are,tv right, pos,,tv right neg, then other audio right neg.,,the bottom one is other audio pos,,,,the 4 on the left side are left tv audio pos,,then left tv audio neg, then other audio left nrg,,then left other audio pos,,,

25715906-ghuqylfbvqx2ddmcce1obb43-5-2.jpg this is like what you need, the red is positive and bare is neg

My DAVHDX576WF surround system is connected to my TV by HDMI, but I hear no sound. The home theater test/setup is audible, radio is audible, but nothing from the TV

Which direction do you expect audio to be flowing: from or to the TV? The HDMI is an outbound connection for video. Page 71 describes how to enable the DVD AUDIO ONLY if you really want TV speakers to be competing with the DAV.

Solution: connected the rear right and left wires to the Front , left and right wires......................and everything works the way I anticipated without any technical problems....... the woofer works on a separate circuit, so I continue to receive the "low" frequency..

Installed new 1080 plasma tv can't get sound from home theater system

A home theater system usually consists of a dolby digital stereo amplifier and 5 to 7 speakers.

Turn your stereo on and select the source that delivers video to the TV (DVD, VHS, Game, etc.). The video may be connected directly from the device to the TV, but the audio should connect to the stereo system (DVD, VHS, or other input). This way, the source audio is sent to the stereo and it provides the big sound to match the picture. Otherwise, you'd have to connect the source audio to the TV and let it's comparably tiny amplifier and speakers provide sound - that comes up short.

When playing a DVD, select the DVD input on the TV *and* the DVD input on the stereo. If you do not connect the audio to the DVD input on the stereo system, you'll have to connect to the TV, otherwise nothing will be heard.

Subwoffer how to connect it to my amp

You have the M-Audio BX8A speaker listed here. Is this what you have? If so, this is a powered speaker and therefor no need for an amplifier. If you want to use it as part of your 5.1 home theater system, it is not possible to power other speakers with this particular speaker, as it does not have the required output connections.
