Disabled because my son entered the wrong passcode and I have no way of getting into my account erasing it because I forgot my password

Maybe you can use iOS Data Eraser to help you erase everything on your iPad. You just need to connect iPad to computer via usb cable, open the iOS Data Eraser tool. Interesting question, I looed it up because my memory is so bad I'm likely to forget mine! I only pass coded it to keep the grandkids off it!

If you have synced your iPhone with iTunes before you forget your iPhone password, you can reset your iPhone by using iTunes without losing data. If your son cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your iPad using the computer you last synced your iPad with. Using the last computer you synced with allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync all your data, apps, etc.


To begin the process, connect the iPad to your computer using the USB cable or lightning cable. Open iTunes and select the restore option.

If you restore on another computer, you can still unlock the device and remove the passcode, but your data and apps will be wiped.

Try connecting it to iTunes, turning off the ipad, then hold both the lock and the home button for 10 seconds, then relese the lock button while continuing to hold the home button until iTunes recognizes the iPad. Then you should be able to reset it without problem.
