I am hearing like a electrical sound comming from my purifier. I found the source of the problem. It is a little black modual with to red wires comming out of it and a little white tube with a little metal piece in the center of it. How can I get this part or at least a schemetic drawing?
The part you are describing is the Ozone generator. You can find them easily on Ebay however its important to get the same one so that the hook-up matches and also the amount of ozone it generates is correct for the EcoQuest Flair room capacity selector on the back of the unit. Sometimes ozone generators make a hissing sound but that doesn't mean that they are bad, especially if you are still smelling fresh purified air coming from the unit. If you can't smell the fresh air on any setting then it needs replaced. the sound you are hearing may be coming from the ceramic ozone plates that slide into the unit. You can test it by getting a piece of 1"plastic PVC tubing (about 12" long ) and placing it near the plates and then listen with the other end up to your ear. It's import never to touch the plates while the unit is on because you will get a nasty shock ! Electricity can't pass through the PVC so you are safe testing it this way. You can also email the customer service dept. at EcoQuest by going to their website. Be prepared for a slow response. Hope this helps. DM

Get more distance from the two sparking points....with the power disconected, pryde the two metal points apart as mach as possible..to a quarter of an inch!
