Try resetting to factory. But save all data and photos to iCloud first. You may have to download all your apps again.

In settings you may have enabled sharing in iCloud (photos) on your device. Select and check to see if you can reverse sharing from your tablet.
Test it by taking any photo with your device and see if that shows on grandsons. If you share others photos then next step may also be the issue. Also on right side is "Photos on " in that you have a switch for sharing.

After recovering Photos, Videos, Contacts & Notes you will have to find and reinstall all your apps again, because they have been wiped by the recovery.
