if your SD Card is not write protected and you wont able to format it a virus may have mess with your memory card. Format it in safe mode or you can try a formatting utility that you can use. You can download it on the link below:
The E327 works with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work in devices not designed to accept SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
8MB or 8GB? If it's actually an 8MB card, you'll be able to put maybe two or three pictures on it, so I'll assume it's an 8GB card.
The DX4530 is designed to work with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD devices, there are electronic difference that prevent them from working there. SD cards will work in SDHC devices but not the other way around.
Most likely you can put in a 2 GB standard SD card. The 8GB is an SDHC which is a new format. Devices older than a few years usually cannot read the new format. However, it is possible that even a 2GB card wouldn't be support, though unlikely. You might want to try http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134127&cm_re=2GB_SD-_-20-134-127-_-Product ... for $10 it is worth a shot, and it is likely to work.
I hope this is helpful, and if so please rate my answer as such if you would please. If you have additional questions feel free to post them here and I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. Thank you.
If the phone failed to format the SD card, try to format it through your computer. Connect the phone through the USB port located at the back of the tower. You'll be prompted that the PC detected 2 USB drives, the phone and the SD card. You will see it by going to My Computer folder. From there, right click the Letter drive represents the SD drive then select Format. I hope this helps.
The memory might be able to be saved. but if you have attempted to format it most likely the data is gone because that is what formating does. Now you can get an 8GB Micro SD for about 15$ so I would buy a couple and always back up important data daily.
Thanks, Lee
Try Formating the 1gig chip in 'Fat' not Fat32, then put it back in phone,, should work then.
Also the phone aparently will only recocnize up to 2Gig (But U need a Firmware upgrade)
