How to put sony dvd player in usb mode? model is DVP-SR660P

Unfortunately, the RMT-D109A that comes with the DVP-S330 CD/DVD player (and possibly other models) will not control a Samsung TV with Smart functions. The RMT-D109A was probably programmed in 1999 (based on the copyright date of the manual). The first Smart TVs were not released until several years later. Universal remotes will only control devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.

You would be better off purchasing a new universal remote to control both the Samsung TV and the CD/DVD Player (or other device) controlled by the RMT-D109A.

Why don't you just order a replacement remote? The model number for remote that is compatible for the DVP-F21 is the Sony RMT-D137A. You can find a replacement remote using the http://EzRemoteFinder.com website. This website will search many remote control vendors for the lowest price remote. It looks like the remote you have originally came with a few differnt DVD players from Sony. There appears to be directions for setting up the remote to work with a TV is on page 52 of the owners manual found at:

Go to page 60. Basically, just hold the TV Power button down, hit your manufacturer's 2-digit code, and release power button. If the code is right, the TV will power off and then back on again. The manual only shows numbers 01-19 in use, so I guess you only have to trial-and-error a max of 19 codes (which is ultimately faster than downloading and opening the manual)! I hope this helps you out.
