Only Facebook freezes.....all other apps work ok.
Delete the Facebook app from your iPad (press on its icon until it quivers, tap the X to delete it, tap the home button). Then, open the App Store application and tap Purchased. Find Facebook and re-download it. You'll be asked to log into Facebook with your user ID (email address?) and password to continue.
I've done this....not helping....
Restart the iPad. Hold power button until "slide to power off" appears. Power off. Wait a minute. Press power button to restart the device (you'll see Apple logo during restart). Try Facebook application. If you have not been updating your iPad to the latest version of iOS (currently 8.4 on an iPad 2 or later), the current release of Facebook software may not run properly on your device - Facebook is notoriously lax about their support of older versions of iOS - they just ignore them.
