If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, or the heating element circuit has failed, the F05 error code will be displayed. Might need to be taken to a repairman
P1121 - Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Inconsistent with MAF Sensor
The PCM monitors a vehicle operation rationality check by comparing sensed throttle position to mass air flow readings. If during key ON engine running self-test the comparison of the TP sensor and MAF sensor readings are not consistent with calibrated load values, the test fails and a diagnostic trouble code is stored in continuous memory.
Air leak between MAF sensor and throttle body
TP sensor not seated properly
Damaged TP sensor
Damaged MAF sensor
Drive vehicle and exercise throttle and TP sensor in all gears. A TP PID (TP V PID) less than 4.82 % (0.24 volt) with a LOAD PID greater than 55% or a TP V PID greater than 49.05% (2.44 volts) with a LOAD PID less than 30% indicates a hard fault.
Do you know what scan data on a scan tool is ? How to Install Replace Throttle Position Sensor TPS 2001 Ford Ranger Buy...
Hi Paul@ FIREFOX,
The most common cause is the engine is not upto working temp.failing this you will need to use an O.B.D 2 meter to pin point fault this will flag up a fault code it works out alot cheaper than changing parts to cure the fault hope this helps....
I dont know about F24 but the book lists normal codes. Trouble is there are other codes as well.
On another make I recently encountered an unlisted fault code. I had a good laugh with the manufacturer when it was listed on the latest documents as "other faults" !
By aware that there are three common faults on your model which could be present in single or multiple combinations.
1. Diverter sometimes fails to move, can give heating instead of hot water.
2. APS sometimes fails to operate and boiler may not fire up.
3. Hot water heat exchanger may be partially blocked by dirt from a system that has not been properly treated.
As your HVAC system is monitored by the computer, a faulty fan will register the appropriate fault codes. The code/s will identify the cause of the problem.
Have your codes read by your local Ford dealership (do not take to any other garage). Reading codes at a dealership takes less than 10mins, so the dealership shouldn't charge much for this exercise.
Preferably have the dealership show you the codes during the test, to confirm it is what they say.
I believe there is no way to circumvent the computer to operate the blower, as the blower is also reliant on other HVAC circuits and sensors.
schmotty,
An error code "36" means Water leak fault:
The Motor Control Module has needed to top up the water level more than 4 times during
agitate. This is excessive, as normally only one or two top ups are required to replace the
air that has escaped from a full load during agitate. The most likely cause is that the
machine is siphoning. The other alternative is that the machine has developed a leak.Thats what you have to do:
Primary Source: Pump System.
Action 1) Check the height of the drain hose outlet. Minimum 33.46in /
850mm, maximum 47.24in / 1200mm.
2) Check that the hose guide is fitted and check that the hose does
not protrude more than .78in / 20mm beyond the guide.
Secondary Source: Mechanical.
Action: 1) Check the pressure tube connections on the outer basket and
Motor Control Module.
2) Check that the drive shaft seal and the pump housing seal have
not developed a leak.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.
