Hello,
When the print fades out part way through the print, a particular print head or heads is running out of ink. There is air in the ink tubes that has migrated to the print heads. Air gets in past the print head check valves when the check valves are worn. When the ink system is not pressurized (plotter off or idle) and the atmospheric pressure goes up, air will be pushed into the ink system. The fix is to replace the ink tube system and the print heads. Designjet 500 800 ink tube systems

This type of issue is usually related to either software configuration or driver configuration. Make sure you have the current drivers that HP offers installed. While at the HP website, also ensure that your firmware is up to date.

Thank you Felicia, unfortunately these printers are $7,000 to $12,000 for a new one so I would rather try to fix this one if possible.

Lexmark 5400 series printer won't grab paper for printing

Hi,

Whenever the printer doesn't pulls the paper please pull the pack of papers, browse through the papers with your finger and put them back gently. If it doesn't work it means the wheels that pull the paper are worn and you need to replace them.

For the second problem, this is not a printer problem but a software problem, please specify which software do you use so we can help you, as each software has individual options to print multiple pages. It will also be more logical to post the problem in the specific software area.

Good luck,

Printing multiple test pages

Check for a sticking button on the printer itself. The big Green button will produce a test print if pushed. Also try disconnecting it from the wall outlet overnight to reset it.

HP 3210 Multi-page print problem

Dear Martin Luke,
Take a look at the posts on "black ink problem" on this site. There are 9 offers of solution.

Many of us with this defectively-designed model have the same problem. Some say the answer is to do with button pressing, but action may need to be more radical and messy, and involves forcing the blockage out of the ink feeder tube etc.

Good luck!

HP 5610 - printing fades down the page

the printer carriage might be wearing out, it happens on the 5610's, may be time for a new printer. The fading issue sounds like a cartridge issue. Try a oem?
