W6444. What causes it to make gentle rattling sound while running, washing?

The sound is a rattling sound while the machine does its back and forth operation. Noise just happened for the first time. It is not very loud but can be heard behind the normal sound of the motor.

SOURCE: washing machine makes a loud rattling sound

Hi.k.
Even though you have cleaned filter, there could still be something in the pump, you need to remove the pump and check there is nothing in it.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

SOURCE: AEG Lavamat 16820: Strange noise coming the machine

Ok, the motor windings are bad. the A.C. hum is a warning that the motor will sound when the windings are separated or shorting. its unable to hold a balanced current.the motor will actually stop soon if it isn't repaired.

Washer goes to 37 minutes left then keeps going back and forth from wash to rinse

the water sensor is not working properly, unplug the machine take the back off and look for a small pipe 5mm and take it off, blow gently into it you should hear a click and one when you let the air out again if so then the place you took the pipe from is blocked, take a pipe cleaner or metal rod clear the blockage usually soap goo, replace the pipe and back run the machine eric

My LG makes a rattling noise on spin/rinse cycle. To me it sounds like a roller that is loose on its baring. Any ideas?

Could be bad bearing. Could be broken spyder (holds drum tub to bearing shaft). Could be loose bolt that hold drum axel to bearings(very rarely would that happen). Open door, grab inner tub, try to move it back and forth, in and out. If it moves and outer tub doesn't, then one of the above is the issue. All this is assuming a front loader machine. What's model number?

Asko w6444 front loader drum vibrating quite loudly. Feet are level. Any suggestions.

Check the 3 transit bolts on the backside of the machine. Should be removed. Could also be a problem with the balancing spring on the top of the drum, so the drum tilts a bit forward, and cause noise

W6444 washing machine door won't close

Try some WD40 spray on the door and lock. Just a bit. Try closing and opening the door. The machine should be in the <off> position.

My 2004 Prius has a rattling metallic sound on acceleration. It is coming from the top of the engine on the passenger side. Does anyone know what this can be?

Does the car make this sound when the car has just been turned off and engine is still hot? Lightly push the car back and forth while it's in park. Does it still make that sound?

does not sound good. if you can remove a cover on front bottom or on the back you may find a broken shock, or counter weight, either would need replacing before running again

My LG front loader washer stops in the middle of it washing with the error code LE. For some reason or another it sounds as if a screw is loose in the drum or something in or near the drum is off cause it...

"Lock Error"

The fault code suggests that the lead that runs to the door interlock switch is faulty, has come off or is loose (Probably the latter by what you describe). I can't inagine how this intermittant error could be linked with what sounds like an item stuck in the drum.

For the item in the drum, I have sucessfully removed screws and the like by thoroughly draining the machine then turning it onto its face, supported by enough bricks or other items to allow me to have the door dangle open. Gently spin and rock the drum back and forth and let gravity do the work. It doesn't always work, but it often does.

Washer will not go into final spin

Hello there.

The buzzing sound it probably a coin or something stuck in the pump causing it to rattle. Also, it's probably preventing all the water from draining out causing the machine to not enter the final spin cycle, since all the water needs to drain for that to happen.

It's kind of simple to clean the pump.
All you have to do is take the 2 or 3 screws off the bottom of the kick-plate and then take the pump screen off, also known as a coin trap. Clean everything and then try to run it again. I'm almost certain this is your problem.

I get a lot of calls regarding this type of situation. Please try that and see what it does before calling a certified service technician. It can save you $120.
Oh and thanks for using fixya.com. We appreciate your query.

Thumping/knocking/rattles during wash agitation cycle

Mine is doing the same thing. I opened it up to see what was happening and it was the drive belt tension arm bumping around. Soon, the belt started slipping during the spin cycle. Now it won't spin and the belt starts to smolder from the friction of the drive motor. If you haven't checked your belt, that's a good place to start.
