Is there a way to get in and lube the gears or something?

My card printer is squeaking like crazy while printing. Already followed the instructions to clean it - twice. Already replaced the printer cartridge. Already reset the printer, and reinstalled it. Already turned it off and back on, multiple times. This is rather frustrating, as I have about 800 ID's to make and nobody wants to put up with hearing this thing squeak and squeal for hours on end, least of all me. Is there some way to PLEASE make it stop?

There are no lubrication points on these printers. They were discontinued many years ago, and are out of support by the manufacturer. It squeeks because it is old and worn, and the only permanent solution will be to replace it with a current model.

1994 GMC Jimmy. I replaced the upper ball joints and the sway bar - for 2 days the car didnt squeak. Now it is louder than before. Whats next?

Did you lube the sway bar mounting pads? If these are urethane, they will squeak like crazy without silicone lube.

Phaser 7400 squeaks while printing

id try lubing the feed rollers well the metal bars where they contact the chassis and lube gears and stepper motors. its been awhile since ive had my phazer. i traded it last year to my church pastor but try that. radio shack sells a teflon lubricator part no. 64-2301a and im certain amazon also sells them. ONE drop goes a LONG way. its also a miracle worker for pc fans, and household appliances as well as automotive where its not high heat. even bearings.

hope this helps you a tad sorry i cant be more of a help here but thought id pass a few personal experience in fixing electronics/mechanical tips along.

When printing from paper tray, the printer squeaks and makes a noise that if anything else was doing the same noise you would think it needed oiling.

I would oil it. Printers need lube too. I would use graphite lube because it is thick and wont spread except from where you put it.

Good luck!

I AM USING A BROTHER MFC 7340 SINCE 1 YEAR: NO PROBLEM EXCEPT WHEN PRINTING FROM PAPER TRAY, THE PRINTER SQUEAKS AND MAKES NOISE THAT IF ANYTHING ELSE WAS DOING THE SAME NOISE YOU WOULD THINK IT NEEDED...

The problem actually is probably due to needing lucubration. I would apply graphite lube to any rollers or gears in the user serviceable area. print 100 blank pages to make sure that the lube is spread thoroughly through the printer.

Good Luck!

Squeaky printer/copier

Probably paper dust stuck in the gears, you can try to blow it out with some compressed air, it could be due to differing humidity levels now that it is getting colder - I wouldn't worry too much over it, some noise is normal. Clicking, grinding, popping, however - that could mean something is about to go. But slight squeaking shouldn't be too much cause for worry, there's alot of moving parts in there to keep well lubed up... ;)

Most likely you need to replace the fuser assembly itself.
You can order it piece by piece, but you would have the cost of a heat roller, perssure roller, thermistor, gear and bushings. And that prices out more then a new fuser itself.
They can be purchased for the 200-230 dollar range.
If thats the route you want to take let me know. I can write out the instructions for replacement. It's not to hard to do.
