My eclipse MP3 4gb 180g2 sl player won't turn on. But when I connect it to the laptop it works just fine. But it won't charge. What can I do? Please help me.

Um honestly .... well, if it will stay on though it's blank, it should be reformattable. If it simply will not turn on even though it's fully charged ... unfortunately it's probably destined for the trash bin.
Probably battery is dead. It is an internal battery and no way to change it so you lost your mp3 player and your money. Get a new onw, but not an Eclipse
While playing a song, Press the center button once, you will see a
little volume speaker at the top, press the fast forward button to turn
up, and the rewind to turn down.
