Not sure if the LCD screen is completely trashed or salvageable. How do I repair it? replace?
I believe someone either dropped or stepped on the lcd screen. Where do I find another lcd screed for this camera. I really loved the ease of use so I am not ready to trash it. I have hope!

No,not worth repairing and it is impossible to get the tv LCD screen panel as refurbish as part and buy it from the outside if u can find it at all 50/50 it is garbage LCD screen panel u are buying.Only the tvs Corporations themselves,the LCD screen panel are 100% good.But it is 90% importamt to the tv functions.They'll charges u the same as a new tv.Sorry tvs with broken LCD screen panel are worth as for PCB boards as salvages tvs for it electronic boards only now.
It probably has a cracked circuit board. If you want to repair it on your own open it up and see if you can find where that cracked section is and see if you can resolder it back properly.

The LCD is trashed, you might be able to salvage the Backlights but that is fairly tight work. Replacement LCDs are around $150 or so on EBay and fairly easy to install.
Friend, the LCD connections is broken especially the lcd interface or your LCD is broken and needs to be replace.thats the only problem no other parts 100% sure
Have you thought about buying a "junk" one just to have parts for? Maybe place an add in the paper for one with a busted zoom lense for the screen? Or maybe search for a company that deals in "salvage", kind of like a junk yard for camera's.

Dear lotaman, I have searched the world to find an exact guide for your monitor but it is impossible. Neveretheless I have found the following guides and they should be more than enough to complete the task in hand anytime.
TIP: The ZV5000 looks and is very similar to the HP DV1000 screen so I would start from there. All guides are very nicely explained.
