Camcorder will not turn on at all

Connected the wrong cable into the HDMI port in error and now the camcorder will not switch on and the battery won't charge at all. What could possibly be the fault? Trying to assess the damage and associated costs. Out of warranty.

How to project an image from an external device from a Sony Camcorder HDR-PJ240E?

Simple solution. You connected an output to an output. The Camcorder 'outputs' image from it so you need to plug it into an input on your TV. You will then see image from the camcorder on your tv.

Hello can you please tell me how to copy video recorded in tape using canon mv920 into my laptop. Is there any driver available for that if so please could you give me the information Thanks in...

-turn on and switch your camcorder to playback mode and make sure that the tape is totally rewounded.(you're going to stream the video from the cam to pc using a supplied software or a thirdparty software like windows movie maker)

-connect your camcorder to your pc and you have to use a dv cable(4 pin to 4 pin or 4 pin to 6 pin type) the first end is a 4 pin which will be connected to your camcorder and the other end depends on what type of dv port you have in your computer(4 pin or 6 pin) Use the optional CV-150F (4 pin-4 pin) or CV-250F (4 pin-6 pin) DV Cable. the dv port on your camcorder is on the strap side on the upper part and its covered by a oval rubber

-once connected to the computer, ready your software(supplied or any other software that could record streamed videos ie: windows movie maker.

-play video from the camcorder then hit the record button from software( you're basically recording the videos from the camcorder live to your pc :)

I have a sony dig 8 trv340 and am receiving an error code of c31:42 what does this mean?

Hi,

In DCRTRV430 Camcorder, the C:31:42 error message is a Self diagnostic display. This message can be clearly identified by the help of a Sony Authorized service technician. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camcorder. In C:31:42, the issue is with the tape and the tape mechanism.

I suggest that you remove and reinsert the tape to check if it helps. You may also try inserting new tapes in the Camcorder. Please remove the battery and/or power cable, connect, and perform operations from the beginning. You may also try resetting the Camcorder back to factory default after removing the tape.

To Reset the Camcorder, perform the steps below:

? Please open the LCD screen to locate the RESET button.

? To reset the Camcorder, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.

? Please make sure that the Camcorder is turned on while pressing the reset button.

Also, try turning off the Camcorder and remove the battery pack. Then move the 'Power Switch' of the Camcorder to the ON position

for 1 minute. After about 1 minute, move the 'Power Switch' to the OFF position.

Now reinsert the battery, turn on the Camcorder and check whether it is working fine.

Thanks.

My mac won't connect with my dcr-sr47camcorder

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot if the computer does not recognize the USB connection from the camcorder.
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Ensure the USB cable is connected securely to the camcorder.
  3. Ensure the other end of the USB cable is connected securely to the USB port on the computer. NOTE: Connection through a USB hub is not supported.

  8. If the issue is still not resolved, try uninstalling and reinstalling the USB driver.
  9. If the issue is still not resolved, test the USB port on the computer by connecting a different USB device.

  • If the other USB device operates, the USB cable may need replaced or the camcorder may require service.
  • If the other USB device does not operate, then the issue is being caused by the computer. If the computer is connected to a network, try disconnecting it from the network or connect the camera to a computer that is not on a network. In addition, mapped drives may cause connection issues; drive designations D, E, or F must be available. It may be necessary to contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer.

I will forward a link to a page where you can get the steps to transfer the videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.

Hdmi connection for camcorder to hdtv does not work.

If i am to understand you correctly, you are are connecting a mini-HDMI adapter to the TV, and another adapter to the camera, then connecting the two adapters together.. i believe this may be an issue..

Too many adapters can actually cause signal issues, especially when converting a digital signal to analog, then back to digital, or vice versa.

Check to see if the manufacturer of your camera has an adapter to go directly from the camera output source to your TV's input.

Cam > adapter > TV = Correct
Cam > adapter > adapter2 > TV = Signal degridation
