Hi J ....it sounds like you will need to do hard reset.this may be due to the latest app you installed or a failed update from google.
first... Switch off the tablet.....second hold the power button and volume up together for at least ten seconds....third let the tablet do what it does till you see the android robot with red triangle....wait....then input from the menu offered ....usually you will need to reset the tablet to factory install.this is a pain but in future disable auto updates if you can.. Tell it to let you manually install.once you have the tablet back sign into you google play account.that should remember your purchases and help you reinstall .unfortunately you will lose all the private info and pictures.for what it's worth if you do decide to make another pattern draw it on some paper and photograph on another device.please vote if this helps you.have a nice weekend.
You need to go to the network settings let it find the network you are trying to connect to ...then look for the arrow right of the network ...click to forget network.it will clear any stored passwords for that router.rescan networks again then it should ask you for the password.re input password and you should be good to go.
