Sounds like the laser pickup unit has damaged. Replacing this part to Blu-ray players is a very skilled work. It will be best to contact any experienced service technician to replace and to align it.

SOURCE: No Valid Disc

Try this out; Go to your DVD player's settings/setup menu, find the "Disc Lock", set it to "off" if it is already set to "on"

SOURCE: disc read error

Could be one of several things:

  1. Disc not spinning due to bad motor or electronics.
  2. Laser not reading dues to dirty lens. Try cleaning it gently with a moistened Q-Tip.
  3. Laser assembly defective.
  4. Laser assembly not sliding on slide rail due to either bad lubrication, bad slide motor, or bad electronics.
Hope that helps....

SOURCE: No Disk error message

The only reason why its giving you the error is because the player cannot read the DVD , the cause for that are the DVD is bad, so try a different DVD and check if it will play if it did play the first DVD is really bad, But if it still did not read a different DVD in means the lens of the player can be dirty or bad, try to run a CD cleaner to clean the lesn of the player if still the same the lens may need a replacemnet already..

Hope that helps..........

SOURCE: No Disk error message

I was able to fix the problem by buying a disc lens cleaner at an electronics store and allowing it to "play" for 1-2 minutes. Was also told you could possibly clean the laser-reader with a cotton swab soaked with rubbing alcohol. Otherwise the laser-reader may be bad or out of alignment.

Hi, I have a NSM. ultimate. When I load a cd, it doesn't seem to spin the disc enough and comes up with an error message that says no disc found although it has loaded one. Please help.

u can clean the lens with a small amount of windex and put a little oil like 3 and 1 oil on the spindle motor shaft and on the sled rails. Good luck !

My dvd player keep on loading but it end up no

from direct experience, the problem is that the disk does not start spinning by itself - it will if you have the top off and give it a spin to start it ... I don't know what the ultimate solution is though.

DVD spinning slow and get a 'No Disc' message

Hello,
The problem sounds like the spindle motor is about to go out completely. If a disc does not spin or does not spin at it's proper speed the optical lens reading laser can not read the disc and you get a "no disc", or "disc not recognized" error message. On average a dvd will spin 3 times faster than a regular cd will. The following pictures will show you what these components look like.

Check around your local area to find what a service technician will charge to replace the part. On average it will usually cost between $60-90 dollars most of which is labor.

I hope this gives you some idea of what the problem is and how to solve it.

If you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

"no disc" message but there is disc in camera - huh?!

HI, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I PURCHASED A BOX OF 30 DISCS THAT WERE FORMATED. I FOUND THAT 12 WOULD GET THE "NO DISC" MESSAGE. SO I WENT AND FORMATED THEM MYSELF ON MY COMPUTER, AND NOW ONLY 2 ARE NOT WORKING. I HAVE TWO OF THESE CAMARAS AND FOUND THAT ON BOTH THE "NO DISC" MESSAGE WOULD COME UP, SO FOR ME I KNOW BOTH OF MY CAMARAS ARE ALRIGHT, THAT IT IS SOMETHING WITH THE DISC.

NSM 2000 Jukebox Manual

You can usually find one on Ebay but don't search for NSM 2000 manual.

The operating technology is ES-V (or ES 5.1 depends how the seller lists it).

It covers all NSM jukes using the relevant technology rather than a specific model.
