Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

    No, the back-light inverter board.

For some models of Sony, the said board will be inside the panel [integrated part; and cannot be replaced individually]. If this is the case, the display panel replacement should be done. Contact the authorized service center for Sony; if so. Because, Sony LCD display panels cannot be purchased from local electronic spare part market.

Hdtv screen turns on but is black

Chances are its the Inverter. However since the audio doesnt work either its also possible that the main board could be the cause. As in most cases audio will still work when an inverter fails. so its about a 50% for each board when the audio doesnt work either. You can get some free assistance yo help troubleshoot which board is at fault from www.tvcircuitboards.com they should also have replacement boards for your model.

When I turn on my Wii the led light is green, but the screen in black and I can hear the sound.

make sure the video cable is plugged into the correct input and that there is no cuts or crimps in the video cable. Also try a different video input. As sometimes a tv will have s-video input and a rca input and if you dont have it in the selected video input it might not display.
but because you have audio i am confident that your problem lies in the video input not being properly plugged in/selected or the cable is bad.
So try a input that you know works and turn off the wii then unplug the video/audio cable from the wii and plug it back in.
If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.
