I replaced the bad lamp in my Mitsubishi TV. I have my picture back, but now the picture blinks in and out occasionally and I'm wondering why.

The original problem was that we had sound but no picture. After using the diagnostic feature, I got the code for a bad bulb so I replaced it. When I turned it back on, I had the best picture ever but with the white dots everyone talks about. Within seconds, my screen was filled with them. then the picture starting going in and out to the point I thought it was about to explode or something. I turned it off, waited a minute, and turned it back on and the white dots were gone. It continued to go in and out for several minutes, but that eventually stopped. Every few minutes it will still go dark on me for a few seconds and then come back and I don't know why. The picture quality looks amazing and the white dots are gone so I don't think it's the chip. could it simply be a loose connection? What else should I look into?

I installed a new lamp and the tv is still blinking saying the lamp is bad. There is no picture.

its most likely the ballast which is causing the issue. The ballast is what provides the power source to light the lamp. You can get the ballast at www.tvrepairworld.com and they can provide instructions on how to replace the ballast

The picture flickers occasionally. I am wondering if the bulb is going.

The WS-55809 is a rear projection TV and does not have a bulb, it has 3 picture tubes. DLP and LCD Projection sets have bulbs, or mercury vapor lamps. Does your picture flicker equally with different inputs?

No picture or sound mitsubishi 62525

Capacitor failure is the most likely scenario the FMT ans Signal PWB would cause the picture interference and the power pwb would cause the lamp light to turn red and give a 34 code when the device/ input and menu buttons are pressed in together and held for five seconds. That chassis has issues with every board in the chassis having failed capacitors you can get repair kits for the V26 chassis at the follwing link that come with instructions. Your model is the V26 chassis. Heres the link.
