My Samsung TV doesn't show a picture, when there was a picture audio and remote not working. Which boards need replaced?

TV picture was working fine, shipped from Atlanta to Houston. Worked in Houston for about 30 min, and turned off. Red power light will glow steady until power on, then flashes a few times, and then goes dark. Audio on set stopped working prior to shipping. TV stopped responding to remote too. Remote works other Samsund TVs fine. Which boards do I need replace - main, power, X-Y, power button/sensor? Thanks

If there is no audio then most likely your main board. If your red power stand by light blinks less than 3 s then its the M/B. If its more than 3 s then its the P/B.

Samsung un60fh6200fxza will not show picture but has audio

The board that you replaced is responsible for digitizing all of the data so that it appears on screen. But you do see a picture with the flashlight - The inverter board is responsible for lighting up the backlighting so you can see the image. I would go for that based on what you have noticed.

The remote for my samsung ht-tx72 doesn't work even though the tv and dvd reciever lights on the remote work. It doesn't turn on my home theater system. Do I need to reprogram it?

Possibly. Maybe it's malfunctioning.

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.
Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

Possible that the processor is not working. So check on the +5 voltage to the processor IC , if this is absent then power supply is faulty.
If not the mother board can be faulty. Try and see if the board can be switched and confirmed.

My remote will not turn the tv on it work for about a week. I have replaced the batteries numerous times with no help

Can another remote turn on and off the TV? Do the buttons on the TV itself work (assuming a front panel lock isn't engaged)? Is this the original remote for the TV or a universal remote?

The possibilities: 1) The remote has failed. If you have a digital camera, take a picture of the IR side of the remote when someone presses the buttons. When you review the picture, you should see a bright spot in the picture. This indicates the remote is at least sending a signal. Sometimes the buttons will fail to make contact with the circuitry of the remote (due to wear). Other times the IR transmitter fails (the suspect if there is no light in the pictures from multiple button presses of the less used buttons). It's cheaper to replace the remote than it is to repair it.
2) The remote has lost the code for the TV. If you have a universal remote, try reprogramming it. (Cable or Satellite controllers count in this group).
3) The IR receiver on the TV has failed (if the buttons on the TV work) or the entire board has failed. You can get replacements for these at some sites. Try shopjimmy.com (minimally used parts) or partstore.com. You will need to open the TV and get the part number for your individual model for best results.
4) The TV won't turn on due to power supply problems.

If you need a replacement remote, a universal remote should work but the low end ones may not access all of the features of the original. Check for buttons that match features like Menu and Source (Input) if your TV doesn't have equivalent buttons on the TV itself. The remotes that are programmed via a USB connection with a computer are the easiest universal remotes to set up. If you want the original remote (or a close substitute that will perform all of the original features), first check if a parts store exists for your TV manufacturer (Samsung for example). Next try remotes.com and search for the TV model (leave out the manufacturer).

I hope this helps.
