When I hooked my HD box with HDMI it show invalid format

Hi,
Some time the PlayStation would be stetted to full had mode. And it will only display image if you connect it to full hd tv.When you caonnect it to LCD tv which is not a full hd tv you have to downscale the output of the paltsion to mach with that tv. Unplug set, HDMI, and a box if used for a while--connect the HDMI first and then power to set and or box--see if set will reboot or box.

HDMI does not like power loss, being connected or disconnected with power on etc.

Also in set menu make sure HDMI input is "available".

Ur tv some how causes HDMI 1 and 2 port hubs link together so changes back and fourth 1 or 2 HDMI hubs will not a difference.Ur tv have 4 HDMI hub ports wright?Tries not to used HDMI hub ports as like HDMI ports like 1,2,3,4 to as in sequences.Tries used like 1 and 4,2 and 4,3 and 1 as skips sequences might work for ur tv.Tries to hook up the PS3 system as the old format hook up same hook as PS2 format like used the PS station old RCA AV cable hook up.Then that should not causes conflict at all because now tv have two difference kind of format hook up.

You must make sure your playstation and your TV set are both set for the same video format (1080p, 1080i, 720p, etc.).

You can either go through all your HDTV formats until it synchs up (give each a good 20 seconds or so before moving on), or you can open the display menu for your PS/3 using a different video connection to your set (i.e. composite), setting both to match, then switching them to HDMI.

how can i get my westinghouse digital tv to work with a computer connection? it keeps saying i have an invalid format

You only get a HD picture if the cable or satellite provider is sending it in HD, otherwise you see it in regular format. Your set can produce only what it receives.

The cable box needs to be set to send different signals when using hd tv and standard tv. Usually a good setting would be 720p in hd and 480p in standard. The tv is working fine it is the cable box sending the signal. If you have another hdmi source such as a dvd player you may hook that up to show the tv is working just fine.

is the tv 720 or 1080. it wont work if your inputing 1080p to 720p or 1080i
