I think that you need to reduce the sensitivity of the'keyboard'. If this isn't covered in your user manual contact Amazon technical support.
Use a USB keyboard and do a system restore. Use a USB keyboard to access HP.com and search for a download there. Use a USB keyboard to backup, reformat, reinstall factory image.Takes longer, but probably best overall fix, HDD may have a few bad sectors and format will fix or avoid them. May be a great time for a 7200 RPM drive and some more RAM! 2Gb RAM and a high speed drive will breathe a bunch of life into a great tablet like the tc1100.
