I am trying to open a twitter account. A code is "texted" before the process can end. However, I do not use a cell phone but have e-mail. So, how can I get the code?

Tried the Twitter phone support line but they do not provide support on the phone. Their e-mail support site is not working properly.

Here are 7 steps to getting your Twitter account set up the right way. 1. Choose a profile name. This is the name you'll be known as on Twitter (also know as your @name). I'd recommend using your real name if it's available. If not, try and include your name or initials. For instance, I'm @AbsoluteAlicia. SOURCE: Twitter Verification Problems

You can check if your phone is verified like this –

When you add your phone to Twitter you get a verification code.
After the code is sent to Twitter refresh the page, if the code is still there your phone isn't verified.

Check if your phone is compatible with Twitter.

SOURCE: RSS Feed isn't working properly in Twitter

First thing is, don't rely on many sites together. Twitterfeed works like a charm and use only that site and forget others. If you have already joined the others, remove the feed from those sites.
Just go to twitterfeed and set the options and feed and have it deliver the feeds every 30 minutes. Remember, twitterfeed will post only those new posts which you made on the blog. It doesn't tweet any older posts of yours which you had before registering with it.

SOURCE: Cant login to Twitter

You might want to wait a bit. Twitter has a lot of uptime issues and if you just wait and go back, it works.

To make the passwords secure, they are not readable in a database, connected to your account.

    How do i confirm my twitter account?

    While setting up an account you have to give in a e-mail account, to receive security messages. If you entered a wrong or non existing mail address you can't confirm. So open the mail account you gave twitter and look if you received a mail.

    well your question is not so clear still i will try to answer you .
    well as you have sign up twitter first you will be asked your e-mail id. so on that email id you will get conformation mail.. and also activation link
    so as you open your mail and click on that activation link your account will get verified it self and then you will also get notification on that mail e.g. if somebody tweets you you will get mail on your mail. if you ar not getting confermation mail then try to signup again or delete account on twitter and sign up again.

    How to text on twitter

    Dear Sir,

    plz folow this step to solve your problem,

    I'm assuming you have unlimited texting or some sort of texting plan.

    1. Log in to Twitter
    2. In the upper right hand navigation bar, click Settings
    3. Click the third settings tab, Devices
    4. Add your phone number number, with country code first (+1 is the US country code; a US phone number would look like this: +14153368687 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +14153368687 end_of_the_skype_highlighting)
    5. Wait for the verification code to pop up
    6. Text the verification code to Twitter using the number given in the devices page. US residents should always see 40404- if you see another number, you might've added the number in the wrong format.

    Send text message updates to Twitter using these numbers:

    * US: 40404
    * Canada: 21212
    * UK, Vodafone subscribers only: 86444
    * Germany: +49 17 6888 50505
    * Sweden: +46 737 494222 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +46 737 494222 end_of_the_skype_highlighting
    * India: 5566511 (note: this short code is still in beta, so if you can't use it, try our international number below.)
    * All other countries: +44 762 4801423 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +44 762 4801423 end_of_the_skype_highlighting Source(s): http://help.twitter.com/forums/59008/ent… Thanks For Your Time,
