I have a continuous drain hose attached but the tank keeps filling up. What can I do? The unit is only a few months old and works wonderfully,

'make model (what it is)' first 3 words in every question please.

You could have three issues.

1. a drain plug not removed
2. an airlock
3. a blockage caused by biofilm gunk. Nasty stuff.

Try blowing air UP the drain hose.

The dehumidifier runs just fine with the exception of water filling up in the bucket. I want the water to drain continuously into a drain. How do i fix this?

well 1st not all machines are made to be a continuous drain type , if so your machine would have come with instructions on how to convert it over for this function , aside from that a little low tech approach to this (not too great looking though) is to drill /melt a hole into drain bucket just big enough to allow a hose bulk head fitting to be screwed into it (hardware store item) and use a simple garden hose for the drain connection

My washing machine will start but then there will be a loud beep, which makes it stop and it will not drain properly or even spin. What should I do?? Thanks so much!

sounds to me that there might be a problem in the "Tilt" sensor this sensor stops the machine if it detects a rocking machine thats out of ballance , so it wont tip over , ck level of machine with a bubble level

Hose connected but not draining and bucket filling

I am also an air conditioning tech, with same problem and same soleus dehumidifier problem. you must remove the plug and install the drain line hose adapter. Hose must lay flat and have no "hills" for water to drain. With this done pull your drain pan out and set aside. look under right side facing the dehumidifier and you will see a small spout. Has a lip like a little tea pot. Plug that spout. I used a foam ear plug used in work shops. Now give the front of dehumidifier a slight rise on front wheels about the thickness of a pies of cardboard 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch. Now put drain pan back in an start up. The problem is the drain pan was made with very little differance in pitch between the the hose drain and the bucket drain. Remember to check your drain hose periodically and the air filter also. Good luck

"Check drain" light is on

If the float switch is indicating a full drain pan, the light will be on and the compressor and fan will not run. Make sure the dehumidifier is installed level and the condensate drain is open allowing the drain pan to empty. Next check that the float is free to move up and down and the switch operates a required. Call the manufacturer at 1-800-533-7533 for parts and instructions if there is a problem wirh the float switch.

I am thinking of buying the ADER50LP. Can a drain it directly to a floor drain, by-passing the bucket? If so, does it have an external spigot or will I need a hose? Are ADEW50LP and ADER50 LP identical?

You will need to use a drain hose that is no longer than 5 feet. Using a hose relies entirely on gravity. So, the hose must slope downward with no kinks. A short 5' section of Garden Hose works well. The female coupling end attaches to the dehumidifier. It's a very effective way, not to having to stop and drain the tank time it's full.

The ADEW50LP, is a low Temperature Unit, which designed for basement applications.
The ADER50LP, is a standard unit. Used for all applications, other than a basement.
Both have the external drain feature and the same water extraction capacity.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

The coils frost up for Kenmore dehumidifier model 580.53701300 even the temp is > 70. the fan works fine. there is a few water in the water bucket. the humidity> 65%.

check the drain tube for blockage, maybe run a small rubber hose to clear out blockage so condensation can drain freely. Worth a try worked for me

Stopped Draining through hose

The hose must be plugged. Empty the dehumidifier, disconnect the hose and see what the blockage is, then remove it or get a new hose.
