HP6110 All in one

When the HP Office jet series all-in-one front panel screen displays Memory Full, the HP Office jet all-in-one is not able to send, receive or forward faxes. Copying will also not work. WORKAROUND: Though the memory buffer should clear itself automatically after proceeding with the next task, like receiving a fax or starting a copy job, these suggestions below may help you clearing the memory buffer by:
  • Add paper to the HP Officejet series paper tray
  • Clear a possible print jam and proceed printing the fax.
  • Reduce the copying or faxing resolution via the front panel's menu.
  • Use the HP Manager to send a (group) fax or making a copy. More memory is available this way, as the HP Manager utilizes the PC memory. When sending a group fax, the HP Officejet all-in-one's memory is filled to capacity. To copy in color is only possible from the HP Officejet Manager.
  • Press START to clear the message. If this message persists, unplug the power cord, and after at least 15 seconds plug the power cord in.
CAUSE: The HP Officejet series memory may be full due to: Copying on Photo quality or sending a group dial, which will use an extensive part of the internal memory's capacity. No paper in the paper supply tray, while receiving a fax. This may result that the data remains in the buffer. Print jam while receiving a fax or copying. The data is still stored in the buffer. System error displayed on the HP Officejet display window. SUMMARY: The HP Officejet series will not fax or copy without sufficient memory to store the data of the page in the buffer before printing the receiving fax or the copy.

HP Office Jet 6110 All in One faxing

This document covers the basic fax functions of the HP Officejet 6100 series. The HP Officejet 6100 series can perform the following functions:
  • Send and receive paper faxes.
  • Send and receive color faxes. Color faxes can be sent only to color fax capable machines. If a color fax is sent to a black-and-white only fax machine, the HP Officejet sends the fax in black and white.
See Figure 1 below to identify the buttons in the Fax area of the front panel. Figure 1: Identifying the fax area of the front panel c00259777.gif 1- Turns Auto Answer on or off 2- Scrolls through speed-dial entries 3- Redials the most recently dialed number 4- Dials fax numbers, enters text, and specifies menu items. 5- Starts a fax 6- Changes the fax resolution 7- Dials one-touch speed-dial numbers Fax settings Most fax settings are configured during installation through the Fax Setup Wizard. These settings, and some additional options, can be accessed through the front panel menu (see Figure 2). Figure 2: Changing fax settings from the front panel menu

1. Menu: enters the menu system.

2. Right and left arrows: navigate the submenus and options.

3. Enter: selects a submenu or option.

4. Cancel: exits from the menu. c00259778.gif Sending a fax To ensure the best quality when sending faxes in color, use a color original instead of a color copy. Follow these steps to send a fax:
  1. Load the original. Load originals directly on the glass or in ADF. For multi-page faxes, you must use the automatic document feeder (ADF). Loading original on the glass Place the original, print-side down, on the front-right corner of the glass. Loading original on the glass c00259779.gif Loading original in the ADF Place the original, print-side up, in the ADF. Adjust the paper-width guide to fit the original. Loading original in the ADF c00259780.gif
  2. Enter the fax number using the keypad. Dial the number just as you would from a telephone (dialing 1 before an area code, etc.)
  3. Press Start Fax Black or Color.
  4. If there is no original in the ADF, the display will read, "Send from Glass? Press 1 for Yes or 2 for No"
    • Press 1 to scan the document from the glass.
    • Press 2 to load the document in the ADF. The display will read, Load original, then press Enter .

Hi, When I get a paper jam I have to remove the back and get it out from there. See if that helps. Also in the manual there's page telling you how to get jammed paper out. Good Luck, Carol
