please find out temperaturecontrol switch on control panel then make it on ideal setting. for freezer 0 Fahrenheit (-18 celsius) for storing food and -10 fahrenheit (-23 celsius) is recommend when freezing food. please set on ideal setting.
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
Check to see if there is correct, complete power to the fan. If not, look for a fan delay that may be attached to the evap. It comes in many configurations. It may have two or three wires going to it. They may be two black wire or 3 wire of different colors. Power goes to the fan thru this device. It may not be working or the evap not getting cold enough to activate it. I will need model and serial to help more.
Let me know what you find.
How to check
everything http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer
are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of
cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks
and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace
the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the
timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.
The refrigerant level is low. The only thing is that the unit may not have a low charge. There can be several things that cause the unit not to refrigerate properly. It could have weak valves in the compressor or even a bad TXV(thermostatic expansion valve). Have you had this box repaired yet.? I see that this is an old post.
