Toshiba 26HLV66 My husband is currently in the process of mounting the above-television to the wall. Prior to this installation it was placed on the stand provided when purchased. We are having trouble removing the stand from the bottom of the TV. Is there a lever or some sort of button that releases this stand? Please Please let us know. We've been trying for over an hour and it's completely frustrating. Thank you so much for your prompt help.

For the Toshiba we have....a 42 inch...the jack panel does not come off. There are a total of six (6) screws that need to be removed. From the top, it looks like they can't be, but they can. They look round, but they are hex screws. Use a long, L-shaped tool that takes out hex screws (get it at any hardware store).to take out the five (5) hex screws and one (1) regular screw on top. Then the stand should slide out.

You will need to remove the jack pack cover on the back of the unit (plastic cover), it should pop off, then remove the screws holding the stand on (should be 5 if memory serves).. after that the stand should slide away from the tv.

make sure your wall bracket kit can support the weight and that the screws you embed in the wall are using hercules hooks, anchor bolts, or something similar... last thing you want is a dead tv and ripped up drywall.

hope this helps,
trin

Can my Toshiba 42WL58A be hung on a wall? Where can I find a manual for it? I've lost me manual and can't find any information on it.

Unfortunately the TV is not designed to mount on wall. Hence there is no wall mount bracket available from Toshiba to install it.. However, if you have a base in your wall you can use the supplied clip to hold it on the wall from leaning forward..
If you lost the manual, you can download the manual from the following link:

I have a Toshiba TV/DVD Combination (26HLV66) and there is a dvd inserted that will not eject. Any suggestions?

There might be a mechanical problem with your dvd player but if you want to eject the dvd that is inside the player, try this:
Look for a small hole in front of the player, usually above the cd tray. Get a a small piece of wire or a paper clip that will fit into the hole. Push the wire of paper clip intot he hole until the cd tray opens and then you can remove the cd/dvd.

The 26HLV66 turns off after about an hour.

Sounds like a main board problem, basically a short if still in warranty call to have serviced if not, honestly a 26 hdtv these days would be cheaper to purchase new. wait till black friday or any time really the way the economy is is opening up great prices on hdtv technology, just my two cents

L c d panasonic

It is strongly suggested to NOT mount any Plasma or LCD TV above or near to a fire place!!! These are very sensitive to heat when it comes to their lifespan.
