The connector itself can be replaced but I would also make sure the lamp fan is running properly and isnt full of dust. that is what usually happens.

Lamp Problems

If you put in an osram "neolux" type lamp--these will NOT often work in Mits. tv sets. And MIts often sends out Neolux bulbs now. A phillpis bulb for this works MUCH better.

The picture on my 32" Acer TV turns off after c 5

could be a problem in the inverter board and the backlight lamp of the monitor .
The lamp is a cold cathode bulb it requires a high voltage supply from the inverter board in order to light up. Like any other bulb this lamp has a limited life span more or less 2 years of continues lit.
The inverter board is a high voltage board the power input of this board is 24volts DC and the output is 200volts AC.The terminal input of this board or connectors must be check because of high voltage Corrosion and loose connections always happen that leads to the mal function of the display or screen failure just like what happen to your TV.
Backlight lamp is installed at the top and bottom of the screen you need to open the back cover of your TV to check up the lamp.(make sure to unplug the TV before proceeding)

Power ligth blinks three times then starts blinking red tv wont start

Lamp cover error, lamp cover is not attached securely. Please check the lamp cover if deformed. If the lamp cover has been deformed due to excessive heat exposure, replace it with a new one. Sometimes the lamp cover melts due to overheating caused by poor air ventilation. Clean the fan and lamp compartment to avoid overheating....

Every 15 min or so my tv shuts off and a over temp light starts falshing on the front of my tv and the bulb has just been changed in january.

Hello!
Looks, like one of your temperature sensors has been damaged. May be due to severe overheating by old lamp. Or: the lamp could be improperly installed. Heats up, then connections to ballast fail, lamp quit working. Next possible cause: did you clean air filter? Vacuumed or blow fans with compressed air? Another possibility: If there was not a significant dust accumulation inside of lamp compartment, the ballast board itself can be at fault. In any case, unit might behave the way it does now. Also: have you reset the lamp timer? In projectors, they won't just give you annoying message via "on screen display". It might think, that you never replaced the lamp, just took it out and put back in. You must reset the lamp timer first. The procedure could be in owner's manual or come with OEM replacement lamp. Generics or "bare" lamps might lack that note. Panasonic wants to stay in a business!
Good luck with your project,
thanks,
Alex.

The tv turns off by it self

Hi,
Your problem resides in two places, the A/V board and the main system control board assembly, as for the unit switching off and on this is an indication of a bad lamp, the unit has a lamp usuage timer that records the amount of time on the lamp, it needs replacing if it has been more or near two years as the lamp is only good for 6500 hrs of use, thats ruffly three years, The componet input not working is due to a bad switching IC on the A/V board, Replacing the Audio/Video board will solve the input problem. The A/v Board plugs into the main board assembly.

Apart from these the other possibilities are:-- 1)loose solder connections can cause short tracking. Get the board re-soldered to fix this issue. 2)faulty or bulged out capacitor causing short tracking.Get the faulty capacitor replaced to solve the problem. 3)the unit gets over heated internally and shuts itself.Keep distance between tv and wall and keep a desk fan behind the tv to keep it cool while you are using the tv and check. overheating can be because of internal fan problem.

Thank you!

I removed the back cover and powered the unit up. Neither if the fans is functioning. I can trace these back to a small (regulator) board to the lower left of the chassis. Does this offer us any clues?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The red tint on the screen is due to a bad lamp or a faulty inverter board. It could also be a dry joint somewhere in the drive electronics. Lamp faults are often intermittent as they can be dependent on temperature among other things. This can make internal shorts come and go. Service Engineers will often take the back off the set and gently tap the neck of the tube to prove or disprove the lamp problem.

Please get this checked as disassembling the TV could be very dangerous as it has very high charge even when it’s switched off.

There is an internal short on the circuit board of your TV & due to this the TV screen first turns red and then after overheating (due to short circuit on the board) it turns itself off. However, these kinds of short circuits on display board cause the lamp to go bad.

If you can't see the fans moving and neither anything appearing on the screen then due to shorted connections and which resulted in overheating of lamp. Further checking the TV circuit is not advisable as i have earlier told you that the TV contains very high voltages even when it’s switched off and fiddling with any unknown part/circuit can be fatal.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

TV SAMSUNG 61 IN. HLN617W

Sounds like it is overheating. It has a sensor that monitors light engine temp and causes a shutdown. Possible causes are:
- dirty ventilation fan filters.
- cheap lamp that makes too much heat
- faulty temp sensor (I don't think this model is known for this)
