SOURCE: THE TABLET BATTERY DRAINED DEAD NOW IT WONT POWER

Have the power adaptor checked by an electrician, most probably you will need a replacement.

If you establish that the adaptor is working, then something happened to the battery charging circuitry in your Asus and it will need repair.

If it's still under warranty, then you are good, otherwise it would be better if the adaptor alone failed, as replacement adaptors are rather inexpensive compared to laptop repairs.

Proscan tablet plt9609g c-k-512-8gb forgot password

If worst comes to worst, do not ever turn it back on until regular battery and smaller internal battery have gone dead. Its the internal battery u need to go dead. That means not turning it on for up to a week, any attempt to power it up will keep the password, unit must be really really dead. Then, when u are sure its been awhile, plug charger back in and u should have to put all new passwords back in.

I brought my irulu tablet yesterday downloaded some apps and it started to freeze when I switch it off and back on it takes long to load and also resets itself

I had similar problem with HP tablet which was not answered by them. Later I found it has got DEEP DISCHARGE problem.ie. it is allowing the battery to go to deepdischarge stage due to circuit problem. The circuit should make itself dead and prevent the battery to go to that level. Virtually the battery enters into COMA stage ! Keep it in switch off stage for 48 hours with charging on - so that the battery comes to life again and charges itself. Later my tablet is OK.

The tablet keeps freezing and the 'on' button needs to be pushed for several seconds before it responds

Sounds like your tablet has spyware / adware or other fun stuff.

Best option is to back up your information and do a factory reset

just saw it won't turn on. try pulling the battery, wait a min, then replace. Charge the phone to full with the POWER OFF.
then turn on phone, backup and do a factory reset

Why is it continually indicating battery is overheating?

multiple issues can cause this. the first is an aftermarket protective case, the second is continuously overcharging it. the third is program(s) running in the background that will not shut down. The battery may be damaged as well. Step one is reconditioning the battery. run it until it is dead, recharge it until it is JUST charged full and disconnect the charger and run until dead again. This should eventually increase the time between the need for recharging if the battery isn't damaged. If it has an after market case remove it while doing this. If it is an android, download a handful of utilities from CM (free) starting with their Battery Doctor and their antivirus ( they are the best known and respected android developers) and run them. you can do this while you are conditioning the battery.
Battery Doctor will take over for the other apps that are telling you the tablet is overheating. and will automate the process of taking care of whatever is causing problems.
I use them on my Tablet and my Samsung Smart phone

Zeepad still freezing i want to keep it, i just followed instructs in box, charged it, held power down for three minutes, and now recharging for two hrs. any tips, i don't like returning things i purc

Upon first use, you have to charge the battery overnight. Then for every recharge, you may have to keep it connected to the charger for at least 4 to 6 hours depending on your tablet, otherwise, your battery will go kaputt in a short period of time.

Tablet won't charge

With your tablet unplugged, press and hold the Power button for around 30 seconds. Then place your tablet on the charger (preferably the home charger) and wait a couple minutes. Then press and hold the power button for around 30 seconds again. If this does not help, then the battery may be bad. Storing a lithium-ion battery should done with no less than 40% battery life left, otherwise the battery voltage or power can go below the safety net (li-ion batteries are not fully dead when your device tells you they are. Once the battery reaches below the safe level, the battery is no longer good or safe to use anymore).
