I have a whirlpool WRF736SDAM11 french door fridge. I've changed the icemaker per a repairman, but I still have no ice.

I do have water that comes from the door with and without the filter installed, but the icemaker will not fill with water.

If water is dispening and you replaced the ice maker, the most probable cause is a bad water valve. The valve has two outlets, one for the water and one for the ice maker; it appears that you ice side is not working as it is not likely to be from the Ice Maker

good luck

Ice maker issues... Maytag Whirlpool French Door Icemaker in upper left. Help?

Question edited for clarity Zeros (0) and ohs (o) aren't interchangeable in serial numbers :>D

If icemakers are going wrong it is best just to replace the complete icemaker unit. They work in a very hostile environment or cold, wet, electricity and limescale and bio-slime. Some commercial icemakers I have witnessed in catering facilities would have you never taking ice in a bar or restaurant again!

Ice maker not working on a whirlpool french door fridge

Is the cold water dispenser working? If not, does the filter need to be changed? Do you actually have water supply to the fridge?
Is the Ice bin empty? Is this your fridge, or are you renting and this was in place? If yours, do you have an Owner's manual with the troubleshooting tips? No manual, try manualslib.com Make model possibly year and serial number. If not yours, there should be a switch that turns the Icemaker on or off. A green light on the front of the drive mechanism near this switch should mean it does have power. No light, no power. There should be a mechanical switch that stops the Ice maker. If the bin is empty, the ice detection arm should be down If it is not down, It is stuck in the "bin is full" position. If these are not the problem, It may be the electrical valve for the Icemaker water supply is not operating, or has been disconnected, or is bad. I have found that one of the online "appliance parts store or sites" have been quite helpful in diagnosing problems and recommending parts and how to fix.

Ice maker performing poorly only makes 1 or 2 loads per day

check to see if the line coming into the icemaker is frozen nor has ice building up in it if your getting water to the ice maker but its taking to long to drop them then replace the icemaker

Ice forms around fan and makes a loud humming noise

It's probablly caused by air leakage through the ice room fan electrical connection inside the freezer. Behind the back wall inside the freezer, the icd fan is the fan that blows air up to the in-door icemaker. The plug on that, into a molded plug on the back of the feezer compartment, is a red plastic part with three wires in it. Try filling in around the wires and the red plastic with a bit of silicone. (if you replace the ice room fan, the new plug comes with a rubber filler which seals this spot). (PS. Next time, avoid Sears)

My french door with freezer at bottom ,LG icemaker making very little ice.

Perhaps there is not enough water coming into the tray on each cycle? Are the ice-cubes very thin? If so timer needs to be reset. LG use a 3-switch DIP on a control panel near the main power board. By changing these switches to various combinations of on/off you can change the timing - longer means more water each time (but too much water means overflow into the blocks already made).

There are service manuals that explain what each setting does - but because its near the high-voltage power board, I'd suggest you get a repairman unless you are a good DIY'er

ICE MAKER QUIT MAKING ICE ON MY WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE

I had a Whirlpool Model GD5SHAXNS in which the icemaker quit working about the same time (3 years old). I had water out the dispenser, I found that it was the icemaker itself failed not calling for water to fill it. I replaced it with a icemaker on-line for about $100 and problem fixed. I have been told his is a common problem with the icemaker in this model ref.

Whirlpool icemaker

Your unit has infered sensors on the frezzer left and right walls. There is a diagnostic test sheet brown in color in your kick plate. All you have to do is open frezzer door look on the right sensor it should blink twice followed by a 1-2 sec delay,if that is good press in flapper door on right sensor do not block path of infered beam you will not see a beam its invisable.Once you hold in flapper on right sensor the led should be solid. If solid optics are good if not solid led replace optic sensors

Try using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.

The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.

If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.
