Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Hi is your television running through a foxtel box or something else that has volume control, If so you might have one or the other turned all the way down, turn both volumes up and control every thing through one remote control.....

Samsung LCD 46 inch half of the screen is darker than the other half.

Hi, while fixing another persons lcd tv i used lower rated power supply to try to fire up the tv ( picture-no sound) the bulbs ( actually cold cathode fluorescent ) lit up but only halfway. So sounds like the power supply for your backlight has gotten weak. You may try a workaround I've used on personal equipment, try turning down brightness on tv-this may,if your lucky, even out the brightness. hope this helped. Prodzilla
