You must test the thermostat from Motor with tester DMM if si open inside of the motor. If the thermostat if open, you must go to the motor shop for repair or replace by new one. Normally this winding is overheating by normal use+spike on the line. Must put in the line spike protector+control voltage device.

Washing machine motor issues with brushes and carbon dust read this if your...

due to carbon dust build up around the drum motor in most washers that have non linear motor that have carbon brushes
you can get a state of error i call a ghost error
as its just due to the build up of carbon powder around the motor its connector and stator coils {speed pickup}
as the brushes deplete you end up with a pile of it building up between the brush contact and the motor housing leading to electricity leaking to earth of the motor metals

so a stiff dry new paint brush and give the motor a good brush around to remove the conduction path the dust creates

this effects the low voltage sensors in the motor like its speed control etc
leading to the mcu controller board miss diag the motor as bad and you get a E or F motor error
also this can and will trip your homes MCB detector and ECLD mains power switch

as i say its a ghost error and easily solved

any engineer worth his salt when fitting new brushes or even looking at this fault
will do this first to try to clear the fault if the brushes are aok
before he condems the controller board ... as bad

a new set of brushes should be part of a service you should carry out
much like an mot when its outside its warrenty period

and brushing out the old dust
should be done anyway when new brushes are fitted when needed
or there condition checked as still ok

basically brushes should be about at least 3/4 " long for a life left of about a year
and have enough preasure on the armature to ensure good current flow too it via the stator
if you have motor F or E fault conditions or a machine that trips your mains on spin etc
this prob needs done anyway
a set of brushes it cheep and a brush is also cheep

so give it a good brush out
then reset the machine
you power off at the mains
you hold in a button or two
you power on at the mains
ive read some machine need the program switch to be placed and then dialed like a safe to reset the main board from some types of motor fault
caused by carbon dust build up typical candy auto washers.. and others
they make it hard to make people money

Will not start started missing and now will not run

I had same problem,I took sparkplug out, cleand with wire brush thenchecked for a proper gap on the plug.I then made sure it had good spark by placeing plug in the rubber connector, and while holding just the rubber part of plug, place other end by metal part on saw and pull as if to start, you should see the plug sparking, if not you have internal probs. if you have good spark take a cap full of gas, pour into plug cavity and try to start again, by the way my problem was dirty plug and wrong mix in my gas. good luck.

Treo 121 treadmill. E1 error

Does sounds like a speed sensor. I would replace that first before doing anything else. You might have a blinking led on the controller that blinks when the belt is running...if you do and it blinks when you turn the belt manually, the sensor is good. If thats the case then you may have a bad wiring harness or controller.

Invacare Zoom 220 mobility scooter will not run

Hi. When the machine is on, does it display a flashing light or LED on the display for a fault code? Is the free-wheel lever switch operating correctly?
You might have a sticky brush in the motor. Take the brushes out and check their condition. If the brush caps are not tight enough then the current arc's on to the side of the brush, and it jams in the brush holder.
Check the resistance through the motor before touching the brushes. Check motor and battery connectors for continuity and any sign of heat or melted plastic. Check operation and resistance of the brake unit. Most controllers in mobility scooters are quite reliable, so always eliminate all other possibilities before looking at the controller. Good luck. Neil.

I have a BOSCH 4000 table saw which spins very slow. I opened the motor took out the field to examine. When I tried to reassemble it, I faced some problem. There are two wires from field, one connects to...

There is 4 wires from the field, 2 reds a white and a black. the reds have spade connectors on them, they go to the brush holders. The white goes to the white on the speed controler and the black goes to the black on the speed controller. There is one wire from the speed control that goes on to one of the brush leads, there is a small adapter that allows both wires to be connected. If the motor spins very slow then the field is faulty and needs replaced.

Hope this helps

Riccar model rad.7 upright (radiance). roller brush won't turn and red roller brush indicator is on. roller will turn easily by hand and belt is in place. how do i fix this?

As you already know, the red brush indicator light indicates that the brush roll has stopped turning, usually because an object has become stuck in the brush roll. When that happens you should turn the machine off (unplug it also for safety), remove the obstruction and turn the vac back on. That should have cleared the light and allowed your brush to turn again.
Occasionally, you will get debris in the brush roll end caps and the brush roll will spin slower making the sensor think there is an obstruction. You can remove the brush roll, pop the end caps off and clean out any debris to see if that helps.
If none of the above worked it is possible that the brush roll sensor is bad or the circuit board in the machine is bad. You'll need a Riccar service center for that. The good news is your Radiance has a 6 year warranty.
