How many amps in the Vision Fitness T9500 HRT Treadmill

Hi Reuben....T9500 can have a couple of different control boards but both will take about the same operating current. At about 1mph setting walking slowly, you should see an input current to the treadmill of 3-5Amps AC as measured with a Kill-a-Watt or clamp meter. As you walk, and step onto the belt, this current will rise or spike with each step as the controller attempts to regulate the walking belt to a set speed. As expected, as you increase the speed and run, the forces to the deck/belt also increase, hence the drive current to the motor will increase or decrease according to the spin speed, speed setting, and feedbacks to the controller and upper console boards. If you are wondering about motor current specifically, that is normally a chopped DC voltage/current provided to the motor from the control board below, according to the console settings up above. Please be aware there are lethal voltages inside most motor control boards, and they should be treated with extreme care by folks aware of where you can and can't "touch". Hope this helps.... greg

It is a 3 horsepower motor, but no amperage specified. The review does say this model has drawbacks.
Vision T9600 HRT Comfort Treadmill review

However, I found this, so 23 to 28 amps based on a 3HP motor.

Note: the following table contains approximate full-load currents for motors of various types, speeds, and frequencies. Variations of ±10% may be expected.

SOURCE: Treadmill (Vision Fitness T8500) turns on, motor doesn't run...

open motor shroud and inspect all connection on the motor control board see if all LED 's are lit except that light up when incline motor is moving up or down. then check the two connector coming from the drive motor to the board sometime over time the two connector will have a cold soldier I would move them to see any excessive movements of the pins then hit start and see if there is any belt movement. Last but not least unplug unit and check the motor brushes if they are less than 3/8 in in length replace them. Call them @ 1-800-335-4348 they under their parent corp. Johnson fitness.

SOURCE: hi i have a vision

Typically an E6 error message indicates that the machine needs to be recalibrated because the elevation motor is out of range or that you have a loose cable connection. Below are the auto calibration instructions. Please make sure that no one is on the machine because it will speed up quickly.

STEP 1 ENTER ENGINEERING MODE

With the safety key in place, hold "ELEVATION UP" and "SPEED

DOWN" buttons for 5 seconds. Software version will appear in display

window for a few seconds before model displays.

Press "STOP" , "ENG1" will appear in display window.

STEP 2 AUTO-CALIBRATE

Press "ELEVATION UP" until "ENG4" is displayed.

Press "SELECT" , display will read "AUTO".

Press "START". Unit will calibrate, when finished "END" appears in

display window, then "ENG1".

STEP 3 EXIT ENGINEERING
Press and hold "STOP" to exit engineering mode

I would also suggest that, with the power to the machine off, you check all of the wire connections underneath the motor cover, the assembly connection that sits where the mast meets the console and underneath the faceplate. Check to be sure that all of the connections are secure and that the pins within the cables are seated properly.

hi,
Try AUTO-CALIBRATION first. For that do the following.

With the safety key in place, turn the treadmill ON . Press and hold SELECT. Now you can perform auto-calibration by pressing START.

(The treadmill will run through minimum and maximum speed and elevation. This will take 3 to 5 minutes. Let the treadmill perform this complete function. "END" will appear when auto-calibration is complete. When auto-calibration is complete, it will take about 30 seconds for the treadmill to reboot and return to the start-up screen)

If it doesn't help then the motor control module is faulty. You have to replace or repair the motor control module.

OK

Take the front cover off and see if the drive belt is on the motor. Try running it to see if the motor turns. This could be a motor or controller board problem.
